20 Updates That Might Be In Minecraft 1.20!

You can hold maps in the off hand in Bedrock even if they’re not filled in, as long as they’ve been used once. That said, I completely agree that the off-hand needs help overall. 😊

honestly i love this channel because of how to the point, informative, and soothing it is. Over the years ive grown sick of the constant over the top, loud=good, immature content that minecraft is riddled with. Sometimes I just want a question answered, learn about the game, and theorize without it having to be something geared 100 percent to kids. That content has its place and it would be disingenuous to say ive never enjoyed it once upon a time but is just not what im looking for now. This however is thank you for all your hard work.

the new armor type could go really well with an end update and it would also make sense in terms of progression: First, you get diamond armor in the overworld, then netherite armor from the nether, then some sort of end armor with maybe an ore found in new end biomes to make the end more worth exploring. You could also add an additional armor tier after that within the new possible deep dark dimension

I would love for them to add more item stacking. Like potions of the same type, beds of the same color, buckets with the same contents, things like that. And I would love bundles to finally be added. Thanks for another great informational video!

I think it would be cool if the ancient city portal took you back in time in a different Minecraft over world. We have all these structures (jungle temples, desert temples, ocean monuments, strong holds, abandoned mineshafts and now the ancient city) I think it would be really cool to go back in time and see villagers or other new NPC types living at those structures and maybe have them somewhat built so it looks like it’s in progress. I don’t know what items would be different but there are already these cool structures in the world it would be really neat to see who built them from a lore and world building perspective.

Birds would be a great addition and would make the world feel a lot more alive

I would like rice. Feel like it would have fit well in the swamp biome update. Where you could little sub-biome areas of wild rice growing in 1 block deep water. It grows 2 blocks high, so that its harvestable when it is a block out of the water (or two blocks out of the water, I dont really know how big rice gets before its harvested) Would make for a block that has an interesting in and out of water requirement. I would also love a food and armour system overhaul. I feel like all the different food is basically redundant when you can get the best kind. This is the same with armour. I'd like to see different possible enchantments based on the armour material. Things like critical strike chance/damage and move speed (and even sneak for deep dark stuff) on Leather Armour, to make it useful. I'd also like to be able to craft chainmail. At the moment, it feels like you just rush diamonds, and then go for netherite and you're basically done. There's no strategy required, other than in getting the items.

I would personally love if they added and Handheld Lantern of some sort that gave a similar effect to the offhand torch lighting mod for Java. I think it would be a perfect fit for the game since caverns are much bigger nowadays and deep dark is a thing. It wouldn't really invalidate torches since those would still be useful for nullifying mob spawns, and it would make Night Vision (which you don't even get until mid-game) more valuable if you're specifically trying to see "everything" in a cave. In general I just think it would be a nice addition and make cave exploration more immersive!

I would love dog whistles such a small but helpful thing to add. It would be great to recall tamed wolves from attacking mobs as sometimes they go up against a mob and are killed by the mob it would prevent this. Or to make them keep up with you or spawn to you. Fireflies would be an easier way to get froglights as getting a frog to the nether to eat a magma cube is ridiculous. Cherry blossom forests, seasons, dessert, jungle temple,dessert temple, sea temple, the end and a new biome for the warden all could be added and updated.

I think the ancient city portal should lead to the land where wardens come from. It would be an extremely dangerous world with wardens walking around (like endermen in the end) but with a lot of valuable loot if you're able to get to it. Another idea would be scorpions in the desert, similar in size to silverfish. Btw can anyone tell me where voting is held? I seem to miss out on it every time.

If they add a new dimension, I bet it would be some kind of dark dimension based around Skulk Shriekers and the Warden. Because the developers mentioned Wardens are blind, both almost exclusively use sound and vibration to detect entities, and some fans wondering if they're invading our dimension (instead of us going to them), it would only make sense that their own dimension would be almost completely devoid of light. As to what would be in it, I would guess: ~The dimension would be home to mobs that are also blind or use bioluminescence. ~Mobs could dig through blocks (like worms and moles). Prey could burrow to hide when spooked, and predators would ambush from the ground. ~If water is crucial to these creatures and there's no exposure to rain, then there could be lots of aquafers and a "humid" atmosphere. This would lead to lots of mossy or fungal style growths (akin to lush caves), and the dimension's main blocks could be porous or soft. What would people want to see in a dark dimension?

Hey Eye, definitely agree on the off-hand in bedrock. Kills me that it's pretty much useless. And not being able to mark banners on maps needs to be fixed as well.

i feel like mojang should take minecraft in a more magical direction. i’d love to see a forest in the overworld where the trees spiral upwards and are about as tall as a mega spruce tree

All I want for 1.20 is Java like offhand ability for Bedrock

As a bedrock player I'm down for the Parity update, It would be easier if they combined all the features from both versions.

I'd like to see wisteria vine added & let it be smelted into lavender dye. Dragonflies would be good since they took away fireflies. I've been wanting dog armor for ages. The pouch would be nice. Your cats can bring the rabbit hide & string required. But I've learned to not get my hopes up for anything new in updates.
