This guy was so impossibly nice to everyone and so excited to be a part of this. You could tell he knew Josh was sooo nervous so he was being kind. What a cool guy.
  • I was privileged to work for JG at his flagship in the early 2010s. It was tough—-we were expected to be on point all day, every day—but he legitimately is that nice and fosters an environment where if you are enthusiastic, disciplined, and willing to learn, you will succeed. I will never forget the day he had many of his staff to a BBQ at his home north of NYC and still have a picture of all of us in his pool. Also super grateful I worked pastry and didn’t have to cut an onion 😂

This chefs humbleness is unreal.... what a down to earth chef. I bet when its business time, its business. What a great episode.
  • The chemistry between JG and JW was way greater than I thought it would be, what a super wholesome video!

Jean seems like such an awesome guy, the way he teaches Josh and talks about his experience in the culinary world. He has no ego and was excited to see the skills of a younger generation. Nice video!
  • This Jean guy is like the best, no ego , no overly chef vibe. Just a guy who really knows how to properly cook.Kudos To Jg. And Papa always rocks.
  • 50 years in the business and JG was happy for Josh to come into HIS kitchen and make a meal together. I don’t think he would do that with just anyone. Josh you did amazingly well!!! ❤
  • I’m so surprised a chef with multiple 3 Michelin star resteraunts is this calm and sweet😊

I work for JG and this video made me so happy! He’s exactly like this. What’s so lovely about him is he never stops learning and still works in his restaurants every single day despite his obvious success. Well done!
  • @Jurbo33
JG just casually dropping wisdom while being so humble and playful in the kitchen. You gotta love it
  • haha JG's reactions just make me smile. No Gatekeeping energy, no ego, just here to have a good time and doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. AWESOME.
  • @circuitsalsa
I love how this was not cutthroat at all, everyone seemed to be having fun to be there and more interested in learning! Thank you Jean George for your hospitality and to the editing team for your work behind the scenes!

What's so cool about Jean is even though he's been a chef for so long, you can tell he's still incredibly passionate and loves what he does.
  • @Frostbitten.
JG is so humble and lovable, it's amazing to see that from someone at his level of skill, experience and talent.
  • Chef was sooo nice you could tell he was even like “no I’m nervous too” LMAO
  • I respect that death glare when Jean thought the crew had provided Josh with the wrong ingredients. From sweet to in command in moments and then right back. Mad respect.
  • @agussmercado
Am I the only one freaking out about how insane this collab is? Josh has gotten so far. Proud of him, and JG is so iconic and nice

Having worked in a few kitchens in my twenties, I think my life would have taken a different path had I worked for someone like Chef Jean-Georges. What an amazing experience this must have been.
  • Jean is giving me Roy Choi vibes, just calm, humble, fun loving with no oversized ego but well deserved recognition. Adorable and fun to watch!

i really like chefs who've achieved so much but also take time to give younger cooks their roses :) it really shows their character and love for the craft
