People forget how crazy these rivalry games get. The atmosphere is always insane. Your team could be 1-10, but if you are playing your rival at home everyone shows up and makes noise just in hopes of beating your rival at the very least. It’s not easy to go on the road against a rival like this and win.

The portal was good for GT. Even though GA held out some big players, Tech looked like they belonged on the same field as Georgia for the first time in a long time. Gotta pull for the mutts next week…

GT was the best opponent for Georgia to face right before Alabama. Besides just giving more of a fight, the QB style will be extremely similar to Milroe, except that Milroe does seem to lean heavily on scrambling. Gotta keep multiple sets of eyes on Milroe on every down to contain him.

Congrats to Georgia on win #29 in a row. Kudos to them, as well as Georgia Tech. They fought hard for the full 60 minutes, and I think Brent Key has them going in a very positive direction.

Going for a 4th & 1 on your own 35-yard line 5 minutes after not going for it on 4th & 1 on the opposing team's 10-yard line is wild.

Georgia tech played Georgia harder than any of the SEC teams Georgia ran through 😂

Seeing UGA win these last couple years has been crazy. I remember seeing them having winning seasons, but could never get the job done at the end. Great work by Kirby and the whole staff.

By the looks of this game, Georgia Tech could have beaten Ole Miss, LSU, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Florida.

It'd amazing how these teams get up for the top programs. I don't understand why they don't play like this every week!! GO DAWGS

63-3 is definitely a real representation of my team's performance. I mean, we obviously would have been beaten by GT by 52 points, right? (Subtracting how much GT lost by).

Tech gave us their best shot and we took it. We didn’t have Brock Bower and Lad Mcconkey, Ra Ra Thomas. We had way too many turnovers and fumble, we gotta play better against Bama who barely beat Auburn on a last second touchdown. We gotta play better all around for 4 quarters against Bama if we expect to win. Go Dawgs!

This game and the Bama game may have been some of the worst officating I've ever seen. That being said, next week is about to be insane. SEC taking it all this year.

Kirby better get the dawgs ready for QB runs next week. Contain the qb, and bama will pretty much be done

Jimmy Carter is the oldest living Yellow Jacket Still Currently Alive at 99. 1/2
  • This can be a great rivalry again. It’s “Clean, Old Fashioned Hate” formally, but these days I call it the Dickens-Kemp Bowl, to give it even more local flavor. I want to see all sports teams in GA winning and imagine how great it would be if GA Tech got back to the old program from the early 90s that was winning national championships and all their games vs UGA were just as intense, if not more, than Bama-Auburn. Before last year’s game, I heard some reporter on our sports talk radio saying this game shouldn’t even be a rivalry anymore because it’s meaningless and GA Tech is a cupcake. Well, I think they’re changing that very fast. They played UGA tonight as well as any team all year and I have a feeling they will get better and be a real threat in the years to come. Looking at UGA’s success should be enough motivation for GA Tech to get back to national prominence. When one of us levels up, we all level up(s/o Killer Mike in the Grady commercial). Great game and GA Tech is in the come up, but for now, UGA marches on.

Wow, some of these interstate rivalry games sure had the underdog give their highly ranked interstate counterparts a run for their money: Auburn vs Alabama Florida vs Florida State Georgia Tech vs Georgia Kentucky vs Louisville Mississippi vs Mississippi State South Carolina vs Clemson Washington State vs Washington Of course we also had other interstate games which weren't anywhere as close: Arizona vs Arizona State Oregon State vs Oregon UNC vs NCSU Texas Tech vs Texas Vanderbilt vs Tennessee
  • @jwiese100
I'll give GT props for how hard they played.

Even on a GOOD DAY GT couldn’t win against Georgia but nonetheless what a game!
