Now I saw 3 of your videos and I like it. I'm a points guy, I'm a kicker guy and I'm also into solid lifters 😂. If you set engine where rear exhaust just closes and intake starts open, the front cylinder is in compression cycle and you can adjust both front valves. Same goes for when front changes, then rear is closed on both.

Loved the video. Definitely explained this so much better then the last 20 videos I have watched on this. 🤘

Awesome video brother. I had a big block Chevy with solid cam while in high school. There was more maintenance involved ( adjusting valves like once a month when ran hard) but performance gain definitely worth it. It also was much more rewarding to stay in touch with the motor. Thanks again bro keep um coming. Take care and stay safe.

Awesome vid. I do it differently but I like the vice grips idea👍
  • i love your content im 19 and hope to do a shovelhead chopped out and i wanna learn as much as i can if you can go over rear wheel alignment and going over spacers that’d be killer and helpful thanks dude💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

I've heard it put that you get the push rod to where you can barely spin it with oily fingers. I've done it it both ways, and it still seems to work out just fine.

Hey man, running a open belt drive setup on a 79. What’s the best way to deal with the extra oil lines coming out of the oil pump. Currently i have them routed into each other aka the chain oiler routed into the return to pump line. Just some funky shit.. but it works i guess.. Can you make a video on how to clean up all that stuff. No content out there about it on the tube. Haven’t really dove into the forums because i actually can’t read.
  • Great video! It looks like you never tightened up the bottom nuts on each push rod…assuming that was done off camera?

Good video, thank you! And s&s (installed height 8.5mm) or Colony (installed height 17.2mm) the better??

Very, very nice. but please lower the music at critical point! cannot hear you speak to well.:face-pink-tears::face-pink-tears:
  • Solid lifters on a shovel motor will destroy your valvetrain in short order. Starting with the lifter rollers themselves, spend it now or spend it later there is a reason Harley used hydros on the extreme angularity of shovel pushrods.

Good job but musical background not necessary sir. Thank you

What about hidrollic lifters ??? Solid are Kool....😂 talk about push rod lengths.... then you can talk about shovel head s ...please smile and have a good day 😂😅😊
