It's sad to me that the reason they're upset about what they're doing is that they feel like they should be able to do it because other people did it, not understanding that there has always been a % of people who know this is wrong no matter how many times it's been tried. The fact that they have to "remind" people they are the victims, means that they are going from victim to aggressor, and the fact that the complaint is that "other people did it, why are we being yelled at" is "their justification" means that we haven't learned from society's mistakes. You have a right to defend yourself, of course, but you're destroying a whole people with collective punishment, no matter how many times it's framed this is wrong, regardless of the countries involved.
