Its sickening that the BBC presenter is being criticised rather than the Dutch Olympic committee. This is insane. How was she supposed to know one of them could have such convictions.

If the details of the rapes came out (he took a guilty plea to avoid this happening) he would be ostracised by his family and the rest of the world. He has NO regrets.... check his statement upon release.

I used to be a big fan of the Olympics, but with each passing games it becomes clearer that there is a big gap between the Olympic ideals and the reality. This is just more proof of the facade.

I'm more concerned that a sexual predator was deemed fit by some to hold the highest office in the U.S.,and is bragging about taking away women's rights to make decisions about their own bodies!

Since they allowed the genocidaires to play. I will be boycotting these games. The Olympic Games is losing relevance every 4 years and it will be extinct in the next generation. The magic is gone. You felt it in Tokyo 2021.

If this person has completed his sentence then, unless there are continuing restrictions, he should be allowed to compete.
