Im pushing the sky away beacuse I have my beautiful daughter, the smartest I would ever imagine, I'm pushing the sky away everyday I feel weak. She is my best gift, I feel precious every day. Every time I ask her what is she thankful for and loved for I hear "YOU MOMMY, every time you hugs me, showers me, give me food, read me a book" I'm dying. Cannot beleve. Its the time I spend with her, the time Im carrying with her, playing with her. It is my quality time. The meaning of life.

His last three albums Push The Sky Away, Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen are in credibly important to me and what has happened in my life. Nick Cave has been a constant and he'll never know just how important and deeply helpful his music has and still is to me. I've never heard this song. I'm 54 yr old Australian and I recall everyone raving about Nick Cave for years...now I understand why. This made me teary. Extremely moving. Stunning.

As a kind of ritual I listen at least once a month to 'Push The Sky Away'. Because I know that wonders need endurance — we all need perseverance.

I could just keep this on a loop forever...so so beautiful and melancholy, gentle and courageous... exactly what we need in this cruel world to heal us.
