During my last visit with my father , before he passed away, he made the comment that he’d not accomplished much. I was taken aback by this statement as he’d accomplished so much and was so giving of his talents and gifts to others. It is truly shameful that the CMA's didn't recognize the brilliance of the American Recordings by Cash until after his passing. Cash is on the Mount Rushmore of Country music and will always be seen as a pioneer. This just shows his greatness even later in his life.
