Check out these Dominator drone and ground intercepts of three close-range tornadoes: 1. Andover, KS EF3 April 29, 2022, 2. Greenfield, IA EF4 May 21, 2024; 3. Westmoreland, KS EF3 April 30. 2024. These rare, dual ground and air #tornado intercepts are very difficult to capture and usually only happen once every several years, but we have been able to dominate the ground and air twice during this record breaking tornado season. Never stop chasing

I don't care much for the yelling but I do understand that in the presence of such power it happens. I love his passion for tornado research and all he's doing for it. Keep up the great work and stay safe.

the tornado that had vortices within vortices has to be one of the most beautiful yet destructive natural occurrences on this planet!
  • I think I saw all of these live while you were chasing. One of the best chases in history

It’s absolutely haunting, yet horrifically amazing at the same time, watching how a tornado actually moves from above. Stunning footage!

I swear when Tornadoes see Reed and crew are there to intercept, they become more photogenic for the cameras.
  • I must say, I think this video contains the most stunning Tornado footage in the world!

Yell all you want Reed. This is some of the best footage you have captured. In particular the houses being sucked upward in a matter of moments and all the contents swirling around in the air is unbelievable. My heart goes out to anyone whose lives, homes and businesses have been destroyed.

I'm impressed that a drone can remain steady in these winds.

The drone footage of the tornado destroying the wind turbines is award winning greatness.
  • To see those people's homes torn up in a few moments, to know that everything they worked on, invested in, and made memories in, all gone. Horrible, yet fascinating to watch.
  • @uberrox452
Aww man, hate seeing it hit all those homes ..

Is like watching a train wreck. It is terrifying yet at the same time you want to watch. The very definition of morbid curiosity.

This is such awesome capture for studying these tornadoes
  • I’ve been watching tornados my whole life to the point of obsession and that multi-vortex twister is like nothing I’ve ever seen, it’s like a quarry drill bit driving into the earth. Unbelievable if it wasn’t on film.

Growing up I always thought tornadoes were simply circular winds. I never realized just how complex the rotation and in-flowing winds were and the multiple vortices that happen sometimes and the way tornadoes are very vertical. These videos really are eye opening and the two specifically (y’all know which ones) are in my opinion the two greatest clips of tornadoes in history.

I've been following Reed since the 90's, and it was awesome to witness him genuinely getting his mind blown. I mean, he's seen everything and even he was awestruck. Totally, 100% iconic footage. Sad and beautiful.
