Growing Dandelion šŸŒ± from Seed to Seed Head (1 Year Time Lapse)

Publicado 2021-05-12
Enjoy this Dandelion Flower time lapse with soil cross section video showing how roots ant upper part of plant grows to seed head. It is about how to germinate and grow a Dandelion flower from seed.

It took over one year for a Dandelion planted from Seed to make Flowers.
This project took over one year to be completed.
But we achieved our Target.
Project is completed!

Dandelions don't have real stems. Their seedlings develop into a rosette of leaves on the soil's surface and produce flowers on hollow stalks. The flowers bloom about eight to 15 weeks after germination at the end of the seedling stage. Individual plants bloom continuously while active, but most profusely in May and June. A single flower produces up to 400 seeds, but averages 180. Seeds ripen from nine to 12 days after the flowers bloom.

Dandelion's are one of my favorite flowers. They grow freely in my yard. I make dandelion soup, dandelion greens with potatoes and pasts, dandelion syrup, dandelion jelly infused with lavender flowers, dandelion salads, and roast the roots for dandelion coffee. The only part of the plant you can't eat is the stem. Yum!

I cannot believe that I've lived my entire life to this point without realizing the yellow plants and the white plants are the same plant. I always wondered why people called them both dandelions...

My little brother came to me one day and gave me 3 dandilions, And he said to take care of them. So I did. A week later they looked dead, but I left them be. After about 3 days I came back to check on them they were no longer a flower but it had the wishes on the top. I was so surprised.

I've always thought it's weird how plants move around while growing but nobody notices due to them moving so slowly compared to how fast we move.

How come the ones at my yard only takes a week to grow to full maturity

I've loved dandelions since I can remember! I'm always blowing their seeds everywhere. They're so beneficial for us medicinally and for the honey bees, please help the dandelions thrive!

Didn't know the yellow heads and white heads were the same heads. I thought the yellows died and new white ones grew up later.

So many people are clueless. Dandelion is an amazing plant. It is there for a reason and its job is to improve the soil. We can use the entire plant to make coffee, teas, food and medicine. No part of this plant is toxic. The plant is not a weed. All plants growing where we donā€™t want them are weeds. This is an incredible plant. It has nectar and pollen and is able to reproduce without any help from pollinators. The dandelion is the first food of the year for hibernating insects when they wake in the spring. The dandelions only stay around for as long as it takes for them to repair the soil. Once its job is done, it will leave. You canā€™t fight them. They always win. It takes one tiny root left behind to regenerate the whole plant. Pick them, eat them and enjoy them. When the flower is done, they become a field of wishes for us all! Love these plants and care for them! Enjoy all they have to offer. It is the first flower a child will give you and that makes it magical all by itself.

  • My friend is Greek. She eats dandelion greens. I couldnā€™t understand which ones she wanted me to pick, the yellow ones or the fluffy white ones. Now I know they are one in the same. Thanks for the cool and informative video. I would love to see a peony flower next. Theyā€™re my favorite.

I love those flowers so much they have such an amazing way to reproduce! When my wife asked me to pull them from our yard it kinda broke me heart using the tool to chuck the root out of the ground! Now I just pull the flower and eat it! If I miss a day or 2 they're everywhere again haha! šŸŒ±šŸŒŽšŸ’–
