CTE Found in Dead College Football Player

Two weeks ago, University of Pennsylvania offensive lineman Owen Thomas was diagnosed, postmortem, [...]with mild chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), an Alzheimer's-like brain disease associated with repetitive head trauma and seen, most notably, among a number of former National Football League players, at least two of whom took their own lives.

    The revisionist history podcast brought me here and it’s really sad to see how much more we’re learning about CTE and how little it seems to slow the money machine of college and professional football down. I wish a lot more people knew about this already. Unfortunately, it’ll be a long time before the sport ever becomes a past time.
