New Orleans has a special place in my heart...
📍All the places I went to...
📍Cafe Du Monde
I mean, c'mon you have to.
📍French Market
Open everyday from 9AM to 6PM! Fun open market to hang out.
📍Liuzza's by the Track
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I still think about their fried green tomatoes and the barbecue shrimp poboy.
📍Crawfish and Chill
I know it looks kinda tacky but this was one of the best seafood boils I've gotten in my life. Their sauce was fire, the owners were so kind. 10/10 recommend. Sad we missed crawfish season but that's for next time :)
📍Brennan's
Super cool classic fare. Incredible service and their desserts were amazing. Bread pudding, I kid you not is one of the top 10 desserts.
📍Fontaine Bleau State Park
So beautiful & worth the $3 per person entry fee.

When you open YouTube and see Dooby dropped a new video less then a minute ago is similar to getting an extra nugget in your McDonald’s. You weren’t expecting it, but it makes you happy.
  • I'm so glad you came to New Orleans and that you didn't just stay in the French Quarter. You were given excellent recommendations. When I’m playing tour guide, Liuzza’s bbq shrimp poboys are a must. For such a short visit, you did a great job selecting the food you ordered. I would've recommended a muffaletta for the road trip to Texas. Come back and stay longer! 👍

Doobie has the best b-roll footage of any vlogger, she shouldn't even be considered a vlogger abymore bc she elevates the form so much with her footage and editing. She really makes the places she visits come alive thriugh her edits 😚👌

This video was great, I almost thought I was watching Food Network. Instead of eating just the food, you gave us insights on the history of New Orleans. Great content! Keep it up!
  • I usually prefer your Korea content, just because I love Asia and I love experiencing a totally different place through your eyes. But this video was sublime. You're such an amazing creator, and i'm so inspired. Btw, I love your food content, but i also really adore your personal life content like when you visited Denmark. Thanks Dooby for all that you share with us!

I miss the food from back home so much! Thank you for making this. We pronounce New Orleans as “New or-lins” and Bayou as “bye-you”
  • Just an amendment! Creole in NOLA is a mixture of European, African and Indigenous cultures, not necessarily a European person born in the West Indies or Spanish America. The definition you gave may have worked to describe Creole colonial settlers during the Louisiana purchase let’s say, but the definition has now evolved to mean a mixed race person of European, African and Indigenous heritage with ties to the colonial era of Louisiana. I think you did a great job describing Cajun cooking and mentioning the Acadians though. Happy you enjoyed NOLA cuisine! ✨

This really felt like a legit food show the way it was filmed & put together w/ the narration. Loved every second of this!
  • Warms my heart to see Nola appreciated but true justice needs many more visits due to time and stomach capacity. Thank you for giving the salute to a unique and special place. Spent all of my life here and it still resonates with life, food, happiness, and all the things worth celebrating, all the more apparent when I travel that we have something worth cherishing here. Good job on the vid. A date, some lines, and oodles more places on me when you are back :) Take care, lotsa love
  • Aww, Dooby! I love this style of vlogging from you. It feels like a travel show but still casual / playful enough with your trademark. More of this please❤
  • i love the in depth reviews and watching how passionate you are about the food and the histories! not to mention your goofiness hust lights up the mood and balances out the seriousness. loveee this videos!
  • I found your videos last week and I’ve been obsessed ever since. The camera work, insight into cuisine, music choices, and your personality are all just so wonderful. Keep up the good work!
  • I am definitely adding New Orleans to my travel list! You really got me on the "spice & acidity." As an Asian who lives for spicy, tangy, & savory fare — I'm so psyched to try their cuisine! 🥰🙌🏼

Defining creole cuisine as from european settlers is definitely a choice...
  • @raven_zoe
this was incredible, like watching a Food Network travel show. Incredible work, Tina.
  • @OK-is2qf
I truly love your indepth review with food. Your food science major just adds to your reviews and it’s beautiful
  • @peterock2310
Likin’ the ‘Murican travel. I kept chucklin at her very Yankee “New Or-Leens” as opposed to New Orluns or Nawlins.
  • @Ngoallaboutus
Thank you so much for coming to N.O. ! 🎉🎉🎉. I was born and raised there and didn’t know how special the food was until I left. Your videos made me more proud of where I’m from! 😊😊😊
  • @joruckus
I love your channel and this series!! I love that you actually describe food and not just say the cringy media buzzwords. It truely shows your love for food and the industry. Come to Houston!
