From the "Linus the Lionhearted" show, which originally ran from 1964-66 on CBS-TV and 1966-69 on ABC-TV, here is the opening, closing and wrap-around segments of the Thanksgiving episode. Linus, who appeared on Post Crispy Critter cereal boxes and commercials, also appeared as a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade from 1964 through 1991.

Hoiyt Curitn moonlighted on this series..yeah, "sygo7g", the earlier verison is longer. This confirms my beflief as to the order of the sequences..this is what I saw in 1975 reruns (6 years after its last network run in 1969) and there was a "breakfast" closing scene....in later seasons.

A year later Underdog would have a Macy's balloon and an episode Simon Says No Thanksgiving to celebrate it.

I always wondered who that balloon was supposed to be of. It was much cooler-looking than the ones they have now. I find Dora the Explora or Mike Meyer's friendly Scottish Hulk character to be unappealing.

Kind of a hybrid of both Dean and Bing.
