*DOUBLE MASSIVE RV FIRE* - LAFD Engine 17 & Engine 25 (Boyle Heights)

Los Angeles Fire Department Engine 17 was dispatched to the intersection of 7th Place and Mission Road for reports of a vehicle fire. They arrived to find two large RVs fully involved with fire. An additional engine (Engine 25) was requested. The fire was extinguished with hand lines and the wagon battery. No injuries were reported.

    Awesome use of the deck gun; a very underutilized piece of equipment.

    This was a clear-cut case for using a master stream. This wasn't just a car fire; this was the equivalent of a couple of small semi trucks going up with multiple exposures. Good for the LAFD for busting out the deck gun here - it knocked the fire down in under a minute.

    Great move on using deckgun on this fire! You could hear propane releases occurring on propane tanks! Great job LAFD!!!

    I'm sure the taxpayers that live on that street where freeloaders hang out in dilapidated RV's are just heartbroken to have witnessed this tragedy. The audacity to have the slide slid open on the traffic side is the ultimate sense of entitlement.

    Handled by only 2 Engines. 👍🏻👍🏻 Well done. if this was FDNY, they’d have 4 Battalions, 13 Engines, 5 Rescues and a few Ladders with a whole bunch of guys standing around not doing much.

    Thank you my Fire Buff Friend. Great shots at pre Arrival. The hand line ( Protect the exposure) then Deck gun. Great work by LA's finest. One Engine took control and contained it as Back up arrived.
