  • Caitlin 3 point shooting is much different in the WNBA than from Iowa. The WNBA started guarding Caitlin as soon as she get out of her car 😊. Full court press on her and try to stay so close toher it like they trying to hug Caitlin 😊. She don't get those same looks from 3. However Caitlin game because of the intense pressure started relying more on her teammates. Her passing has started to be what she is known for now.

I watched a video documentary about CC and she was intense, to the point she tend to push her team mates to the edge. CC is built to be a general, a leader, and she's clashing with Sides style of play that obviously hadn't worked in the past. You don't stick a player like CC in a team. It's more like you build a team around CC. That's what Iowa did and obviously worked. She needs a coach that can handle her intensity and Sides is probably not it.
  • Caitlin Clark is in the TOP 18 league wide in: Points, Assists, Blocks, Steals and Rebounds. As a rookie.
  • I didn't see CC struggle in those first games. The team had no chemistry. She was still scoring pretty well. Her passes were surprising her teammates. Now they are getting their chemistry. Run and gun ladies! Fun to watch. 28-30 points a quarter!! Plus 100 scores. I'm waiting for those days to start. 😊
  • Dan is an ESPN OG, and the greatest sports broadcaster to ever work at ESPN. He has seen everything, and covered damn near everything. He was what gave ESPN legitimacy when it started. His opinion just doesn’t have weight. It has gravity.
  • @vinny2195
CC does pass behind the back, seen it several times. She "breaks ankles", that is so fun to watch.
  • @Struwwel2
Patrick's observation about soccer explains a lot. I didn't really start following CC until this month, but my immediate impression was she thinks faster than the other players, sees the game faster. She had to have learned that somewhere.
  • Angel Reese is Angel Reese’s own worst enemy. Without even mentioning the fact that she clearly is stat padding, she wants the fame more than to play ball. I think if you take away Caitlin she would lose it because without Caitlin she isn’t in the news. Or sporting news. She is more worried about followers and likes. He said it best, no team is preparing for Angel Reese. And I must give flowers to Chennedy Carter. Even though she gave Caitlin a cheap shot, she has been carrying Chicago. Caitlin deserves ROY and is SOLELY changing the WNBA
  • Here are the actual stats for rookies as of 7/16: Clark #1 in Points & PPG (Reese #2); Clark #1 in Efficiency (Reese #2); Clark #1 in Steals (Reese #2); Clark #1 in Assists (Reese #5); Clark #1 in Free Throw % (Reese #4); Clark #2 in Blocks (Reese #5); Reese #1 in Rebounds (Clark #2); Reese #6 in FG % (Clark #8). And to address the Turn Overs, look at the ratios to get the actual impact on the game and you get Clark #7 in Assists/TO (Reese #8); Reese # 3 in Steals/TO (Clark #9). I'm looking forward to seeing them on the same team in the All-Star game, but as for their regular play, Clark clearly is playing better with a more positive impact on the game for her team AND the league (and I didn't even have to mention her being face guarded behind the ball or from 90ft out). ROTY was never a real question.

Man this is the most common sense take I have ever heard!!! I agree 100000% well said!! People I think grandstand with these 2 cause they have agendas or wanna use the issue to gaslight for clicks. It’s why we can’t have real sports talk. You got a subscriber in me!
  • Assist lead to points by definition. Turnovers only lead to points for the other team if they can capitalize on them.
  • People gotta remember one is a guard. A shooting guard and one is a/center, not the same
  • @FUBAR1986
Angel Reese needs to give everybody a reason to love her when she’s off the court not hate her.
  • Shout out to Iowa for showing the love and support to there best athletes!!!!! For myself, I don’t care for basketball I general.I am a Sixers, and Michigan wolverines fan….born in 1978 so, not much to cheer for…..onlny time I turn on Women’s BB is after I know CC is playing. She’s aggressive And very good.
  • @nieto8384
Russell AVERAGED a triple double that year! Hmmm.....seems like the voters didn't give two shits about his turnovers!! Who here thinks that CC will accomplish this feat at some point in her career? 🙋‍♂️
  • Angel is having a good rookie year, but that's not a ROY performance by any stretch. The discussion is about ROY and no one else is even close, if the truth is gonna be told. There is gonna be a huge reality check at the end of the season and by then, everyone will have had a taste of the Fever and Caitlin. Caitlin has been the most impactful to her teams' improvement, development and chemistry and style of play, let alone their climbing in the rankings and popularity league wide. This statement can't be said for Angel, unless of course a couple of shots of Crown are consumed prior to opening ones mouth.. Caitlin Clark..ROY
  • She sees things before they happen; that's a Jedi trait. If she had been born in the Republic the Order would have approached her years ago😉
