Add a Wendigo! There is one that appears as a passive mob that will actively approach you and when it's in range it transforms to its original form and attacks you.

Put slabs or something on top the fences so they form a lip to keep mobs from climbing. Prefferably cobble/stone slabs/slabs that The Man From the Fog cant break. You could also swap out the fences for walls (stone, cobble etc). Or, you could make a full stone(etc) block wall with upside-down stairs on the outside. Fanfic writers are probably having a field day with Herobrine being a lil stalker to you, lmao
