Andrew Garfield Is The Best Spider Man (Hot Takes)

Published 2020-07-25
In the first installment of this new series titled Hot Takes, where I cover some of my more unpopular opinions in entertainment, I give my thoughts on Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. And why, in my opinion, he is the best live-action take on the character.

I hear plenty of people say Andrew is the spidey but not many saying he's the best Peter Parker. I'm one of the few people who thinks Andrew is the best Peter Parker.
  • I have always thought Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man is the best. Glad to see I'm not alone 😂
  • Is it just me or does Andrew just really pull off the Spider-Man eyes? He moves his head and body in ways that really show the emotion through the mask. Andrew is a phenomenal actor!

I thought I was alone, ive always related to this Spider-Man the most out of all 3, Andrew really brings out that socially akward kid that no one really pays attention to, And Spidey in these films really is a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, he goes out and helps people from the streets, this guy will always be my favorite Spider-Man.

Glad to see he’s finally getting his credit after millions saw NWH.

FINALLY someone who understands me YYYEEEEEEESSSSS
  • I really wish this was the MCU version of Spidey, since just like you, I think Tom Hollands' version is great, but Andrews' version is a lot better than what we currently have IMO. Hopefully, the new rumors about a TASM3 and a live-action Spider-Verse film are somewhat true.

man when you showed how peter was in NO way cool in TASM AND had the facts to back it up with the comics I literally screamed with happiness. I TELL PPL THIS ALLLLLLL THE TIME HE WAS NOT COOL AND HIM BEING “ARROGANT” or a “JERK” works bc after bens death it teaches him to GROW. THANK U MAN OMFG

It was all sony's and avi arad's fault. They never gave marc webb the full creative space or freedom to direct in his own way. Rather they mixed up so much in the sequel, just in a hurry to start sinister six. Rather they would patiently moved with 2-3 more movies. It could have been blockbuster😥😥😥

If you read the original comics, you'll see that Peter Parker was NOT a chubby cheeked goofball but a typical teenager who was slender and taller than average.
  • Ah I remember being around 8 and I was a fan of the raime trilogy (still am) lol but then 2011, found a magazine that my dad just bought and seen Andrew on the front, didn’t know who he was then and I was sad that maguire wasn’t back, so I went to see it with my dad and sister and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT, was waiting months for it to be on blu ray, had the biggest crush on Emma stone, watched all andrews films I was obsessed and I loved the second film and I can see the problems with it but he felt like Spider-Man to me, I miss Andrew, Tom ain’t got shit on Andrew and Toby imo
  • “Everywhere I go I see his face” Andrew in the tasm1 costume lmao. I hope Sony take a chance to bring him back in the sony verse.

There’s a lot of things about Andrew’s movies that I enjoyed more than Tobey’s: Peter’s quips/jokes, the swinging scenes, the love interest, the fight scenes (although the Doc Ock train scene is easily the best fight out of all Spider-Man movies), the acting, etc. I know Andrew’s movies have problems but I’ve always enjoyed them more and this is coming from someone who grew up with Tobey first. POV: you've just seen rumours that Andrew and Tobey have been cast in the roles of in spider-man 3
  • @kevparttwo
Maybe it's just me but I've always found Andrew's version the most compelling and relatable :)
