  • There is the reoccurring theme with this show. No matter what murders happen, the festivals are never cancelled.

In reference to a lot of comments on here I'll like to point out an observation. I have watched French, Italian and British movies for decades. The actors have always looked like ordinary people. They run the gamut of being old, young, fat, gray, and imperfect, I like that. They are put together in scenes which offers a different vision than you would get watching American productions. American shows, mostly like to have handsome men and beautiful women with perfect bodies . Sometimes, they throw in old white men romancing young, pretty girls. Foreign shows are the type you don't see in the United States, that often, but you get to appreciate the unordinary when diversity is part of the act, much like in real life.
  • Always ask if someone's there if you hear a suspicious noise. Also, always walk towards the suspicious noise, and when you see the someone, say Oh, it's you.
  • Just when I thought they would run out of creative ways to knock people off, we have 'drowned in a bowl of eels & eggs'. How have I missed this episode?
  • Have to admire someone who finishes her tea before calling the police, after finding a dead body in the kitchen.
  • I am now a fan of the song The Ballad of Midsomer County and of Seth Lakeman and Lucie Jones. Such a great series and how wonderful to be introduced to these artists and a great song!!
  • It’s always a fun blast from the past when Barnaby starts listing 80’s & 90’s bands and songs. I love how they always fill in details in every scene to make it really enjoyable.

This one has a special place in my heart because it reintroduces my love for folk music into my life.

One of my all time very favorites of the Midsomer Murders series. Great song and, the storyline set to play out its lyrics in murderous succession.
  • Folk music is nice because you can actually hear the words in the ballads.
  • The Midsommer Balad has to be the best “for tv” song ever. If you go online there is a version including Lucy Jones ( who played Melody). She truly has a lovely voice.

Being an Icelander I admit thinking we were the greatest when it comes to Literature but you English are everything to me that I enjoy when it comes to Misnomer Murders.

Just what I needed tonight, worked so hard today, I can't move another muscle, I was thinking of early bedtime until I saw the notices! Thank you!
  • No doubt about it. Midsomer is definitely the most dangerous place in the World.
  • That restaurant was used in, Poirot, “Taken At The Flood,” Miss Marple, “Murder is Announced,” Midsomer Murders, “The House in the Woods,” and Midsomer Murders, “The Maid In Splendid.”
  • Hello, I am late comer to this series. I have never been a fan of long running series but, with the changing actors and writers, I have stayed with it. That having been said, the music alone would be enough! This episode is, so far one of my favorites! Wish there were Cds with perhaps, 4/5 seasons each, I would purchase all!raf

The very slow pan, slow... And, so often, a shot of the full moon through branches. And the through-the-branches trope of someone (with less than good motives) peeking through. Can't get enough of this.
