  • 70's had great music...I'm 65, and always look for and listen to the 70's music..Brings back many wonderful memories.
  • The difference between an entertainer and a critic is TALENT.
  • The Seventies were my years Loved all of these songs and don't give a hoot what critics have to say

Why point out criticism for every song? Why not just celebrate the songs?
  • Leave all the critics out. For all the criticism they were hits so people loved them.
  • No "critic" ever influenced how we FEEL about music. You're giving them a relevance they never really had.
  • 50 years later they still sound great. Sounds like "the critics" should remove their heads from where the SUN don't shine.
  • Fun Fact: No matter what song or how good it is or was, there will always be critics trying to rip it apart.

Critics: "Too simplistic, too simplistic, too simplistic..." Also critics: "Too complex, too complex, too complex..." Moral of the story: Stuff the critics; like what you like and enjoy what you enjoy.
  • I was in elementary in the 70's and I remember MOST of these songs playing on the radio! YES!!! We listened to the radio back then!!
  • These songs will always be around. May be one of”hit wonders” but I bet have out lasted the critics.
  • I am going to take this opportunity to give a respectful, appreciative nod to Gallery and their hit "Nice to be With You." One of those songs that can put a smile on your face from the moment it starts.
  • Spirit in the sky is one of my favorites of all time. Everytine I hear it I think of my summer days as a kid playing baseball
  • thank you for respectful comment about B.J. Thomas. I met him way after his famous days. Super super guy .

It's amazing that each of these songs had some kind of criticism. These are my very favorite songs of my growing up years in the 70's.
