The Hawaii Island businessman long denied being the godfather of organized crime in Hawaii.

    He was unfairly labeled the Godfather of crime. He was given that title because as the person who started The Metro Squad, a division of the Honolulu Police Dept, his dept was responsible for breaking up gangs, fights, organized crime in Chinatown. He personally knew every person who was involved in organized crime in Chinatown. He was a extremely gifted person.

    He was a good guy. Respected by many. Lived a good life. He was no "Godfather of organized crime". That is something the outside damacraps came up with. Anyone who knew him, would know what kind of man he was. He will be missed.

    I heard about the Metro Squad when I worked for HPD....all big Hawaiian Bulls kicking ass and taking names.....those days are long over......I know some people had a problem with that type of policing, but if you were not breaking the law and being respectful you would never had any contact with that unit....
