The "living under the desk" gag lives on. Love the commitment.

Jon Stewart was a voice of reason to my generation and it's great to see him returning. There has been no better host of the Daily Show in my opinion. Excited for his return!

John Stewart got me in to politics as a teenager. Brings tears to my eyes to see him back, and holy smokes did he nail his first day back.

The absolute warmth and genuine friendship and humor of this episode was just beautiful. I love that Jon got Colbert in the end. I love that they are such good friends.

That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen, someone got their security deposit back. Unprecedented.
  • 4:01 I love that John Stewart has cardboard boxes in the background for his Emmys and then a more Emmys box. Also the box for The Faculty DVDs lol. That’s a pretty deep cut.

A whole lotta work invested in grooming that Alpaca. What a beauty.
  • I can't wait for tonight!!!!! Jon is a legend and my personal hero for all he has done to help first responders and military. He was the voice of reason for my generation, and you know he is gonna let loose behind that desk!!! Gonna be a great year for the Daily Show, but a shitty election year!!!!!!!!

Words can barely express how much I love these two people, and when they come together I just get overcome by joy, the level of silliness is awe-inspiring

  • Jon Stewart's heart is too big to walk away from this. For all he has done for late night insight and 9/11 Veterans, God bless his humor and light in the darkness.

The band was sharp at the end with that Daily Show tune

As a student in the Netherlands when Jon Stewart aired, he had a large influence on me and my views on American political topics. Not to mention the many times he made me laugh. I'm delighted to see him return. I sometimes wonder if he would have made for a good presidential candidate. Also, none of my colleagues in the Netherlands ever heared of him, but he was the main influence for our own daily-like show from Arjan Lubach.
