  • I’m going to use something you said at the beginning of this video as my new mantra when evaluating bikes: “Normal riding, at normal speeds, on normal roads”. It’s simple and concise but says a great deal and will be a necessary reminder to me when marketing hype can cloud a decision.

The fact this fast aero 'race' bike comes with a compact should tell you what crowd the build is really aimed at, its the 'look at me and how amazing I look with this flash handbag' crowd.

I'm tempted to buy a Modern carbon bike, But I Enjoy the simplicity of Vintage bikes. I have a Vitus 979 Dural & Peugeot Perthus Pro Reynolds 753r.

That looks soooooo much fun , What with the Italian heritage I’d defo love to take it out for a spin

My eyes says yes you need it but wallet says no.
  • My first pro level bike was a Pinarello with Campy, year was 1992. Last year I thought my last road bike should be s Pinarello but the C$17,000 price tag killed that idea. After lots of research and with Davids videos helping I bought a very sensible Roubaix SRAM AXS, could not be happier…

Rather have the c68 or tarmac if I’m spending that kind of money
  • Thanks for your honest review. Will you be testing the Merida Reactie soon? Would be very interesting to get your opinion. Specifically for recreational riding. Excellent camera work by the way.

Hi David, Will there be a day where you'll test a SEKA Exceed Aero bike? Or maybe the new Seka Spear?
  • @Earage1117
In previous vedio the short trail of large size gives the twitchy handling, how about this time?
  • I like the color on it, dont like the forward seatpost thats out of alignment with the seat tube (like on my F5 thats on the same alignment plane). I wonder if it bb/crank:rear stays is more stiff and accelerates better. My F5 (also 6.8kg) is the same frame as the outgoing dogma and its super complaint BUT it just doesnt have that instantaneous snap acceleration even with my crazy light custom wheels... id rather it be rigid and buzzy but accelerate than comfy and sluggish.

Finally, I really like the appearance of the Dogma, especially in this color. So, I suppose in the car world, a Dogma F would be a Koenigsegg, right? Or is it more like the Ferrari at 13:19? 😁
  • Great review Dave really value your impressions. I'm not a racer and prefer more of a "do it all" type of bike. I've are Tarmac SL8 and it ticks that box for me. It's a pity the Pinarello is not on trend by better accommodating wider tyres. Again, thanks for your review. As an aside, when you initially reviewed the Madone you indicated you were reserving your final impressions bending getting in on your home turf for a ride. Any indication when that might be on the cards?

I would like to sell my GT RTS 2 that is all original and in showroom condition. I also have the original brochure, the original owners manual and the original rock shock manual that came with the bike when I brought it in 1996 can you please tell me what a bike like this would be worth I would like to sell it.
