Love your honesty and directness. I love doing laundry. For years I didn't have a washer/dryer and had to go to laundromats. I carried laundry down 5 flights of stairs and walked a few blocks to the laundromat. And then back up 5 flights of stairs. Now I have a washer/dryer in my house. I feel joy and gratitude every time I do laundry at home.
  • Had to smile when I read "You can't clean clutter". This has been my mantra for years.
  • I have always been a cleaner, but I have my coffee before anything gets done. My mornings are mine, and I get outside, weather permitting, to get my sun and coffee in before I start my day.
  • Fly Lady was my first inspiration to get organized. One of my favorite ideas from her is "You can't clean clutter." And, another is "Swish and Swipe". I don't get dressed to shoes every morning and I don't make my bed every day. But there are many things like doing a load of laundry a day. So easy. Keeping your kitchen sink clean is a good one. Now I take little bits of inspiration from different people whom I like, like you. None of the programs are perfect for everyone. So I cafeteria shop YouTube and take what works from different people. I like practical advice and seeing regular people do things.

If I am at home for the day, not working, I start in the kitchen and then tidy up as best as I can. Thank you for helping Mira in her scrapbooking room.ā¤

I like to keep my kitchen and bathrooms clean, especially since I don't have a dishwasher. That's a win - win for me. I only use white towels and sheets so I can bleach them. I pick a sunny day to do laundry once a week and do it all in one day. I like to hang my laundry outside to dry. You can't beat the fresh air and sunshine smell. And I live in my pajamas now that I am retired. I even go out with the dog in my PJs because we literally live in the middle of nowhere and there are no nosy neighbors overlooking us. My least favorite chore is cleaning the bathtub/showers. I love the way your channel motivates me....

I was helping a sick friend. She told me she vacuumed every day but it had been a few days. So while she was out I vacuumed and a just /knew/ she wanted to see those vac lines. It was the first thing she noticed when she came home
  • I am going to try as much of the ā€œFlyladyā€ routine as I can. I have been disabled for 3 years and am dependent on a walker. So I will have to employ what I can. I used to hate doing laundry. Now although I donā€™t do my own laundry but just take it to a service. Even though it is clean, folded sanitized and put in bags, I still hate putting it away. How lazy is that?! I have enjoyed your videos, and am so happy I found you through Bonnie and Mira. actually, I am Miraā€™s secret ADHD twin who is also a disorganization specialist. Iā€™m learning a lot from all three of you, and hope I can adapt these great ideas into my less than speed-driven lifestyle. Keep up your fine work! šŸ˜Š šŸ‘

I have been doing flylady for 18 years. Shes the best!! Iā€™m so glad Bonnie led me to your channel
  • @FrogeniusW.G.
I like tidying and dislike cleaning the windows (not bc. of the cleaning but bc. of the putting everything in front of it (plants, decor etc.) away first). šŸ˜… Love your voice btw! ā¤ Hope your channel grows to the size it deserves. šŸ˜Š
  • @donnav
Least favourite is cleaning the fridge/freezer. It always takes too long! Also the car! Ugh! Most favourite is decluttering and tidying
  • @NewCreation6123
My favorite Fly Lady tip is to shine my sink. When I clean my sink after I wash my dishes it is clean and shiny.

I think a load of laundry a day works for large households, but I have a small one, so I do all the laundry in one day, and I pair that with cooking for the week, all on a Wednesday, usually. The two things pair well because I can get a lot of cooking done while the dryer is going. I appreciate your videos-- full of good ideas!
  • @kellypruitt2362
Yes, vacuum lines ā¤ā¤ Iā€™m not a fan of emptying the dishwasher, but I love to load the dirty dishes. Another great video Ali and always look forward to the nextā¤ā¤

Love these, Ali! I learned about you from Bonnie! šŸŽ‰I love doing laundry every day! Itā€™s the best!! ā¤ I do sheets & towels on Mondays. Great tip about the dishwasher! Iā€™m going to try emptying the dishwasher every morning! šŸ˜Š
  • @tarigeorge6122
Iā€™ve moved my laundry upstairs. I have one machine that washes and drys. I love to be helpful so every two weeks I do laundry first a person who is unable to do hers without great difficulty. I try to keep up with my own laundry. I can improve this! I am so glad I discovered you, you have a way of motivating and encouraging me. Thank you again! ā¤

Years ago I came up with the idea of a Robot vacum cleaner.I called a big company and they told me I would have to build it myself which I couldnt.A year later someone came up with my idea.I love to clean floors and bathrooms.
  • @Mrs_B
I gave each family member their own dirty laundry basket, and then a common one for bed linen/towels/cloths and wool. It's so nice that they take responsibility for the washing themselves!
  • @micheleohmer4117
As a family of 7, the way we keep the laundry not so overwhelming is to have more minimal wardrobes. Weekly, I wash sheets, towels, darks, dress clothes/delicate, whites, mediums/light-colors, cleaning rags/towels. I do two loads a day. I use vinegar as fabric softener. If you find it still seems hard to keep the home clean/organized, you need to get rid of even more things. Great tips!
