NBC Bay Area: Why would you not include a link to the updated USGS maps? 🤔

Having grown up in the Bay Area, know this 40+ years ago in elementary school. One of the leading research labs is located in Richmond with a building shake table.

This is news? Wouldn’t this be common sense when living in a seismically active region?
  • I was on the Bay Bridge 1989 when it broke I studied the Hayward Fault....we were due for a major move within 30 years. It is 35 years now. But I did move away from the Hayward Fault. Made sure I am not on sediment I think it has the highest probability with the greatest damage

What is known throughout the nation as CERT, Community Emergency Response Team started in California. The concept is neighbors helping neighbors in times of disasters.

At this point, I'm wondering if San Francisco will get their next Big One before LA does. The whole West Coast is overdue...

Builders and developers definitely won’t take this new information into account if that would cost them any money at all.
  • Century 😂 they’ve been saying it’s gonna hit and hit big since the 90s

  • Damn not shocking and yes its a reminder that we are at the 30th Anniversary of the Northridge quake.
