Marvel Studios came out the clear winner of Comic Con 2024. When Robert Downey Jr. removed his Doctor Doom mask, the audience went WILD (as did we). But that got us thinking... is RDJ Iron Man or Doctor Doom? Which universe is he from? Does Deadpool know him? How will he connect to Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars? And, the biggest question of all, is Marvel's $100M gamble worth it?

Disney's problem: Countless millions spent on the actors..... Meanwhile, around $80,000 to $100,000 for their writers (and even less in some cases). A great actor can't save a garbage script.

Whats killing the mcu is not the lack of good actors. Its marvels strategy in general; the lack of good writing/directing and the vfx teams being underpaid and overworked.

It’s going to be interesting to see if the similarities are brought up between Dr Doom and Tony stark. I mean, Spider-Man JUST got over the whole “everywhere I go I see his face” bit and now THATS going to be difficult when facing the new big bad…

3:14 not mentioning the allergy death at one of their restaurants, told multiple times about the allergy and told it was safe, only for the wife to die, and when the husband sues, Disney says he cant because HE had a free month subscription to Disney+ years before......

Okay… but I don’t want to see an evil Ironman that makes Tom holland confused. I don’t want a variant Ironman. I want the Shakespearean magical science dictator that is three steps ahead of everyone and is only limited by his ego. I want Victor Von Doom.

it takes away from Stark's sacrifice to bring RDJ back as Dr Doom. Logan being brought back for Deadpool worked and I have no clue how but it didn't take away from sentiments of the original storyline

“How would Spider-Man react” That’s the biggest issue I have with this casting. Rather than focusing entirely on his own merits as a villain and his relationship with the Fantastic Four, people wondering how preestablished MCU characters would react over Reed takes away from Victor and just forever have Tony looming over him

9:48 I'm gonna disagree by the time we saw Thanos on screen as the villain of the movie we knew he wanted the infistones for something and it wasn't good. They built a mad sense of foreboding around Thanos that was only added to when we saw him win.

I've never read comics, but I've watched Wiki Weekends, and my favourite thing about Dr. Doom has to be that when he left his house for college, he told his dad "you're the man of the house now"

Honestly, I don't understand why they didnt grab RDJ and Make him into superior Iron man and grab someone else as Doom. That would've made more sense since we are doing the Battle world story.
