"You are beaten. You have 5 HP left. It is useless to resist. Join my army or die." MISS "So you have chosen death."

Recruit skill is actually quite powerful as a weapon (OP even). Its a skill you can use it after an attack. Meaning usually you move up to someone, slash at them to drop their HP and grant you little MP which is usually just enough for recruit skill and use the skill. Even at low odds like %8 - 15, If successful its free insta kill + said enemy becomes a low HP target dummy that AI likes to hit so it will save your life. Especially effective when you hit someone and they barely live and use their finisher on you next turn. No more thanks to recruit. Its also grants some serious war funds thanks to 5 pieces of free equipment. Recruited Galgastani are even cool with the Balmamusa massacre. 10/10 Best skill.

Great vid! The ability to recruit enemy units and not only get the unit but the equipment too is unbelievable useful! And it’s much more stressless than in the PSP version, because you can rename the generic units before pressing the accept to recruit button. That drove me nuts back then…because I reloaded again, again and again before a unit with a fitting name popped up. Mostly the beast or dragon names were crap. But the only thing the PSP version did better, that you could do an in battle savegame, which didn’t vanish once you loaded it…so it was easier to not use the chariot tarot. Now you make a mistake in a battle or simply have bad luck and don’t want to use it to keep your Warren Report clean, you have to start over…same game with bad luck in recruiting…especially the Hydra in Chapter 3 Law (Psonji Wield) with a low success rate…has frustration potential.
  • Wow I didn't realise that Human Zombies could be recruited with the Recruit skill! I just saw that they are Umbra like Gremlins and Orcs and assumed they are the same. I should've been recruiting zombies since ages ago. Thanks!!

Thank you. The leadership option when recruiting was so confusing. makes sense why my recruit attempts were so low.
  • Recruiting In Potd is so fun. Not only it brings high level units to your side but during the fight allows you to use those high level spells that wouldn't be available before post game - Pity they disappear when the fight is over

Suggested Topic: Undead - Properties of undead units - Differences between Zombies and Skeletons / Ghosts. - Necromancer vs Lich - How to obtain all of the above - Possible party configurations
  • that’s so useful about the language the other units use. thank you! it totally sounds like the “you” is ME
  • Potate it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Post Game Content and what order you tackle that in. I feel like POTD asap till at least 25, for the recipe books and flying rings/boots, I generally go further like floor 60 if possible, but I think theres a lot of value in just going to 25 asap. Then San Bronsa can be a bit challenging but I feel like if you are able to plow through San Bronsa that helps a lot with being able to do a full POTD run. And then also there's the whole fact that to access a lot of the post game content, you have to be on the right 'route' in the story, with certain characters still alive in your party, etc. it would be interesting to hear kind of like a Potatoes Guide to Post Game or something. There's a lot to do in post game, i feel like some kind of summary would be useful for a lot of people. I think you did some postgame videos back when the game came out but it seemed like it was more of a "what's new / what changed" from the psp version, not so much like a 1 stop guide for reborn post game. I know you've covered individual bits and fights and pieces of post game, but yknow what i mean, like a video for all the people just starting post game. Like for example i got totally stuck on CODA2 and went through the whole dang POTD just to realize i forgot to do the cutscene that kicks off CODA2. Then i went through all of POTD again just to realize there are certain criteria like Nybeth has to be killed in CH4 POTD in order to do CODA2 potd, etc etc. Went through a lot of pain and suffering and multiple POTD runs just to get all the CODA's unlocked.. Lol

Most of the recolors are nothing special, but I'm sure a lot of casuals will attest that Phoenixes are some real bullcrap with big flying tank energy and AOE weaken in hanging gardens, seeing how hard it is to set up instant kill. Their raw stat makes leaden hard to apply, and petrify greatly improves knockback resistance.

Nice to see Hungry Snek taking a night out on the town.

I finally reached Pirate's Graveyard to finally get myself some of my favorite lizardmen. They both ended up being above my level cap (didn't actually notice until after the fact) and was wondering if that was normal. Good to know it is. I also saw a yellow Kraken on that same outing, so there's another question answered. I did wonder if Octopi suddenly got upgrades like Golems or wether I had found a rare spawn or something.
  • Recruiting drama! Ace vid per usual dude! Just curious, is it known if “Irresistible Beauty” has any secret interaction with recruiting? It seems it can be useful as well to turn the unit around so that you can speak to them face-to-face for increased odds.

Denam: Sister, come. We go to Phorampa Catiua: …wh- that’s completely out of the way! Whyever would we go there?! Denam: We need MORE zombies, sister Catiua, thinking: Yep, he’s lost it

I'm in ch 4 right now and the enemy mages and units have dark star 3 and newer spells and I'm just thinking, "ok it would be nice to have that." but when I recruit them, POOF. The spells are gone. Hoping to find a shop for these types of spells soon. Great guide btw lol. Appreciate it.
  • Good video, did not know that there was a place to keep spawning +1 level above. Though I am surprised you did not mention that you keep units even if you retreat. Which can make for some objectives a little easier like recruiting Deneb. Or just in case you like a particular unit. The other nice thing is when you enter a battle if you scout you can see what spawned and on some maps there are different spawns. Usually 1 unit swapped for another, but if you can retreat from the battle and go back the unit spawns may change. So if you are looking for something in particular on a map, like a specific type of dragon, and you know it is a possible spawn you can enter and leave the map until you get the spawn that you want. But maybe that tip is better for gear in the palace of the dead.

Any plans to make a zombie video? I've heard a lot of players talk about a "Zombie Army" for farming and wanted your thoughts on that topic 😀
