In the summer of 2022, my friends and I set out to conquer one of the most difficult overland routes in North America, The Alexander Mackenzie Heritage Trail. In total, it took us 9 days off-road, we crossed 3 deep rivers, we ran out of fuel twice, and came dangerously close to rolling our trucks on a sketchy section of the trail that is almost impassible. This is the full movie edit of our adventure.

  • Hope you guys enjoy this movie version of our Alexander Mackenzie Trail adventure from last year. Probably wanna make some popcorn. 👍🏻
  • I lived in that area. My family had grazing rights through that area in the late 60s to 80s... that "Tractor" is actually a horse-drawn harvest/mower. One of four we had. My dad had a worker (named Duncan) mowing, and the thing sank up to its axel in mud... so he left it there... Congrats, guys, you found Duncan's Field! 31:57.

Love to see the old school 4 runner, really shows that you don't need the latest thing to go out there and enjoy the wilderness.

Please take this is in a spirit of a much older man whos lived hard twice as long as you good men have lived. I was a forester and firefighter in the early 80s and before that a lumber jack in North Central Washington. One bit of hard nosed serious advice. WEAR A SHIELD AND HARD HAT CUTTING DEADFALLS! Besides my own stupid experience getting a cornea punctured the number is uncountable how many branch lacerations and torn up faces,.blind eyes. And we had chopper airlift. Just what was your plan out there? Please folks, my pain and disability is your wisdom. Great video, great guys, and Toyota ruled the way. God bless you guys for making great videos.

Crazy video! Braun handle guiding teddy extremely well (maybe there was more off camera 😂). My patience would’ve grown thin. Spotters are there for a reason and arguably Braun took the most risky vehicle through there already. You have to have faith in the people you’re doing this with.
  • It makes me happy to see ppl actually use these trucks for what they are intended for
  • Braun is like the coolest old school cat everybody wants to do a trail with.
  • @number1yota
Fun tip, you can use 2 ratchet straps to compress your suspension on the high side of the trail to keep your top heavy rig more level in those bad off camber situations. Attach one end to the frame, go under your axle, (wrapping the axle once or twice helps prevent the strap sliding around) and then hook it back to the frame again. Then you just crank it on down.

Just want to add one small thing I appreciated about this - the lack of swearing. I watched this with my three boys, ages 2, 4, and 6, and they were riveted the whole time. It got us dreaming about a trip someday. Nice to be able to watch this without having to wade through adult language throughout.
  • My take away from this vid is that your guy Braun is an absolute animal. The dangerous stuff, too, but Braun is the friend we all need, or need to be.
  • @s12d.z
To me whats crazy to see is you guys completing this after nobody has gone through it for years and that there is people living there, so much history and stories to be told about those abandoned homesteads, cars and whatnot. Anyways this was a crazy adventure to watch I felt anxious for you guys and I was just watching through a screen, great work on editing, exploring and everything just fantastic.
  • Your hard work in clearing the trail is a service to everyone, thank you.
  • @richd1108
You guys rock! Fantastic production including the camera work, music, and the super drone footage. Very few people get a chance to experience this kind of adventure and thank you for the huge effort in sharing it with us. I felt like I was with you every step of the way!
  • This is the first video from this channel I watched and I’m hooked. Superb videography and the drone footage makes it even more captivating. Very well done guys!
  • @jimyeats
I am picturing Braun - with a cigarette - dangling from his mouth saying; “hold onto your butts” at every major obstacle.
  • Braun is a beast, and you guys are true trailblazers. Amazing job you guys. What a journey, you'll remember that for a lifetime. Congratulations 👏
  • I'm too old to even think about an overlanding trail this serious. Thank you for allowing me to see this great trail through your eyes. I'll stick to running Moab rocks and easy Colorado trials. I know my limitations and respect where and what my Jeep can conquer without breaking something on this 72-year-old "Crawlpaw".
  • @Karlojey
What a mission holy f***! Best adventure by far. Also, please bring Braun more often. The dude's so chill just smoking and chugging along on the trail. What an animal!
  • @butch1254
I know im parroting what everyone is saying.. but damn man, this is the best production value on YT. Music, camera angles, storyline.. you are killing it! Love it! Thanks for the great content!
