Heath's Joker is all the more chilling because his rages are controlled. The best villains do not scream all the time.
  • I love how terrified Gambol is in this scene. He didn't take the Joker seriously and now he's completly at his mercy.
  • It's crazy how he mastered his voice changes and how he underlines different emotions just by using slightly different tones.

When he says “Why So Serious”, I got chills and was a little scared. Best Joker performance my Heath Ledger. Never will be beat.

Love how he changes his backstory everytime just like a real delusional.

Look at his eyes when he’s talking to gamble..my goodness. Chilling is an understatement..you can tell Heath put his heart & soul into this role.
  • 0:27 in a way I respect Gambol for this bit. He doesn’t double cross the apparent murderers, rather keeps his word and offers them the $500000 reward he promised. This ties in with the mob bank manager saying “criminals in this town used to believe in things. Honour, respect.” Gambol is an example of that.

Joker is an example of you don't need to be physically imposing or having infinity stones to be a great villain. Look at him, he's the devil in human flesh.

The voice change when he asks, "why so serious?" is bone chilling RIP

15 years ago today, this fantastic film changed cinemas forever. The best trilogy we all know of today.

Its a damn shame Ledger never got to see just how big of an impact he made...

    Nolan's magic + Heath's madness + Zimmer's masterpiece = One hell of a scene

Theory: But what if the two background stories on how he got his scares are both true. That when his father put the blade in his mouth and said "let's put a smile on that face." His father didn't actually do it, but it left a scar for him mentally. And when his wife got scars all over her face, it gave him the idea to carve a smile on his own face since his wife kept telling him that he needed to smile more. His father gave him the scar mentally, and he physically gave himself the scar for his wife. Both stories are true.

"How about alive" best sentence at this whole scene for me🗿

The Joker is literally in a trash bag and is still intimidating.

This has to be without a doubt one of the most iconic scenes in movie history. Legendary
  • What made the joker so terrifying was he had no superpowers he was like a lot of dangerous people walking the streets of every city unnoticed but he could manipulate people with mind games he just wanted to watch the world burn
