This whole scene... The flashing red lights, the overwhelming music, the way Refn contrasted Jesse's innocence and the tense atmosphere... Everything about this film was absolutely mesmerizing.

One of the most unnerving movies I have ever seen. I have seen over a thousand movies. This movie embraces pure narcissism and self worship as a positive thing. That idea alone is haunting realism. This movie reminded me of The Witch in its final message minus the religious factor. We live in a world of lonely people who worship themselves.

Literally watched this movie when I was 15. Then rewatched at at 18. Now moved to the city and getting myself into industry as a makeup artist I’ve never related to a movie more. It’s a scary place. Jealousy can get you killed.
