I've seen a lot of how to layer videos, but I feel like their mainly geared towards layering for the winter/cold weather. I've been trying to learn how to layer in general just to create cool & aesthetic outfits, so I thought I'd share some tips I've learned.

As always, thanks for watching!

ABOUT DRESSRELIEF
My name is Mariel, and I started getting into fashion in the past few years and am learning so much about it. I'm drawn to fashion as I believe it is an art form that not only allows individuals to express themselves but also creates a history and record of different time periods and generations. I've had a lot of fun learning how to put together outfits and use different styles to tell a story through the way I dress. I started this channel to share what I learn along my fashion journey and hopefully help others learn and find their style as well.

I post videos 1-2 times a week, mostly regarding fashion but may include a few beauty/makeup and lifestyle related videos as well. If you're interested in this content, please give my channel a shot and subscribe!

  • This entire video is telling me that my dad is better at making outfits than I am 😭
  • We often have so many clothes but not enough outfits (if it makes sense?) And this is such a cool way of maximising the number of fits you can create out of your existing clothing pieces,,, so thank you so much for this video!! It was really well explained and very creative!! 💗💗
  • Just a lil fashion tip for grunge fairycore/goblin earthy vibes is to like layer with big sweaters ( I wear my mum’s old sweaters and my dads sweaters & shirts) (one extra they’ve done with them! 😉) and thrifted necklaces look rlly cool as u are likely to find longer necklaces. Hope this helps!

i'm saving all your videos for when i start to get into my style more, you and your videos are so appreciated and loved, thank you for your hard work !!
  • @ACursedDemon
I regularly wear skirts over my jeans just to piss people off. I also look really good in them so that’s just a bonus
  • Tip for the double belt! If ur going out for an amount of time that u wouldn’t need to go to the bathroom, go for it. But if ur gonna be out for longer then just wear one belt, while maybe putting some chains or charms on it to recover the lost flare!!
  • @brynndolynn
OMG the strings/ ribbons on the belt loops at 5:05 give me life, I'll definitely be doing that
  • i love how dense with information this video is... definitely taking notes

Cute socks can be great too! You can get laced ones or knee high , they r great for adding to outfits with shorts or skirts !

that was the best layering vid I've ever watched. I've been a subscriber for a long time but never commented for whatever reason, just wanted to say I love your content and the hardworking that goes into your content <3 I would love to see videos on color palettes for aesthetics, how to utilize clothes that don't fit(too loose/too tight), which high fashion brand you associate with different aesthetics/ your fave high fashion runway shows and maybe a video on city core aesthetic. (sorry for any mistakes I'm not a native speaker)

I love how you talk with your hands. It really adds to your voice, explains what you're saying and holds attention more. Also your nails are pretty ✨️
  • matching the style, small thinner tops under, i ussually just wear the same palette so layering is easy forme, i love mesh or fishnet type stuff under any type of tops or bottoms, layer jewerly instead of just wearing 1

Excellent video with awesome suggestions! So if you're really attached to your necklaces but you're wanting to experiment with changing the length, they do have a variety of necklace extenders, and it's not terribly difficult to make your own. I think just having the cording of your choice with lobster claws at either end would work pretty well, especially for aesthetics with more diy-type clothing and accessories.

I’ve recently started really getting into my style and trying to make it aesthetic and now that it’s cold I have some ideas for layering- so thanks for making this helpful video :D

I feel like one really have to know your bodytype (like kibbe or anything alike and silhouette) because a person who is rather tall, has small shoulders, a long torso and little waist definition has to layer in another way than a very small, petite person who will be overwhelmed easily, or like I am, a rather small SN, broad shoulders and shorter legs (because I just look boxy REALLY fast)
  • The pronunciation of aesthetic is generally æ, the same sound that is in the word "cat" or "tap", something in between "a" and "e" - from English major :D

i absolutely love leg warmers and arm warmers! they are so cute! i have a pair that i wear but it looks a little awkward on me because my calves are a little bit bigger than i like so it makes it look..bulging? anyways i don’t own one but i love like a sleeveless waistcoat or vest over a simple white button up shirt! it’s so cute! <33

Thank you so much! I’m finding my style at an affordable price and I needed a way to know how to utilize my clothing items properly
