  • Of course, these are so good they have been parodied, imitated, referenced, remade, and rebooted.

Village of the damned was SO good, I watched remake too, and it was not bad but original, just chefs kiss.

I loved Charlton Heston's Sci-Fi phase: Planet of the Apes, Omega Man, Solent Green. Thanks for the 60's retro, John.

Two films to mention sort of monster films, 1956 Godzilla with Raymond Burr and Gorgo from 1961, both were terrific!!!!!
  • Another great video! I think it would be awesome if you kept up this trend of your favorite genre movies!
  • The scene of "Celsius 233" (I am using the SI) that stuck with me is that where the fireman's wife thought she had a part in a television show. Just because they inserted a pause after a question, she believed her answer could not only be heard by other viewers, but could have also had some kind of relevance to the plot. Imagine if today there was some kind of media where people inserted their thoughts, thinking that... --- HEY! Wait a minute...

BTW. Do you plan to make it a series? Best movies of the sixties, seventies and eighties? Maybe after that you could post a series of polls to pick best of the best?

I only collect 60's sci-fi B-movies and skipped the big production flicks. There wasn't a lot on sci-fi B-movies in the 60's like the enjoyable 50's but some aren't bad. Some of my favorites were The Angry Red Planet, Beast Of Yucca Flats (absolutely despicable!), Beyond The Time Barrier, Cape Canaveral Monsters (another atrocious flick), Children Of The Damn, The Crawling Hand, Day Of The Triffids, Dinosaures, Gorgo, Invasion Of The Animal People (remake of the 50's Terror In The Midnight Sun), Island Of Terror, The Last Man On Earth, Lost World, The Man With The X-Ray Eyes, Master Of The World, Monstrosity (The Atomic Brain), Night Caller From Outer Space, The Phantom Planet, Quatermass & The Pit (5 Million Years To Earth), The Slime People, They Came From Beyond Space, They Saved Hitler's Brain (absolutely horrible), The Time Machine, The Time Travelers, Varan, The Unbelievable (US version), Village Of The Damn, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea and Wat Gods Of The Deep.
