The Way I Remember It {Tradition Rich Ireland}

Published 2024-07-01
This video, filmed in and around the Clounmacon area of North Kerry, during the period of 1970 - 1973 is a unique look back at a way of life that is gone, perhaps forever.

It is unique in that it shows the participants carrying out their normal duties, and even the flailing scenes, which had to be recreated in a local house, undisturbed since it was last occupied some 40 years earlier, brought back to life the skills of men, who had partnered and rivalled each other at this practice. They relived that period.
