As a mom of two I always find it interesting how people will preach respect to other people's bodies and decisions, but will judge how a woman wants to birth their baby. Sending all the love and best wishes to your sweet family ❤️

I appreciate u being so open with us. I had a c-section in January. I was induced and in labor for 36 hrs only 6cm dilated. And the baby’s heart rate kept dropping so I told them let’s do a C-section. Best decision I made. It was super quick and baby was healthy. Definitely want to do another C-section if there’s a next time

Your birth is YOUR BIRTH! Whatever you feel is best for your own personal experience is always the right thing. I’m excited for you and the birth of your little baby 😊

I don't understand why people care how you bring your baby into the world 🤦🏻‍♀️

Praying for you to have a healthy delivery Abbie, love you guys so much , can't wait for baby J to come to the world! ❤️
  • My mom had two c sections and she said she never regretted that! Everyone should be able to do what they feel is best! I’m glad you’re doing what you feel safest with! I would do the same!
  • You didn’t need to explain yourself as long as you feel that you are doing the right choice for yourself and your family. I look forward to seeing baby J and seeing Poppy as a big sister ❤
  • Good luck on your c section and hoping and praying for a quick recovery!
  • I can relate to these thoughts completely. Had an emergency c-section with my baby even though at the time thought it was the worst case scenario. But since I had no choise that was the way to go. Had a great experience, it was hard in the begining but still right after and now 1,5 years later looking back I think it was the best case for me. If I get pregnant again might have a scheduled one. I feel nervous about VBAc since I havent experienced it. Congrats about your new baby!

We've had the same experiences and timing for all three of our pregnancies. Just had a planned C-section for my daughter on February 25th and it was a really positive experience! Infinitely better than emergency. Wishing the same for you. Best of luck on the birth and recovery, and enjoy your new little boy! 💙

    EVERYTHING is controversial anymore.
It's vulnerable to share so much with the world. You didn't even have to explain it but you shared your reason with such grace and humility.

It's so very true. There are pros and cons with it all. You'll do great and you'll be in great care. And here's to praying and hoping you have a lovely birth and speedy recovery. ✨️

I have negative views of a C-section because I had one natural birth and one c section and both deliveries were so different. My C-section experience was much more painful and such a difficult recovery. My core is shot after a C-section and I am having to do physical therapy to help with healing. I have learned that many woman never really receive the right recovery treatment after C-section. It leads to more pelvic floor issues. So many layers of muscles are cut through so it makes sense. I completely understand they are necessary in some cases and understand why you are choosing one. You do what you feel is best for you. Everyone’s birth story is different and a personal decision. All the best! ❤

I am a birth doula and so people often expect me to be actively against c-sections and medication. But I wholeheartedly believe that there are times when a c-section is the best choice for a mom! As long as you feel comfortable with your choice that’s all that matters. You are still bringing life into the world and it’s still amazing and beautiful.
    Congratulations ❤
  • I had a natural birth. Loved it. Wouldn’t change a thing. But the goal with birth is a happy and healthy mom/baby. I don’t understand why people don’t understand that. I’m so glad you’re going with what YOU feel comfortable with and hope everything goes amazing❤
  • Power to you for talking about this and thank you! I had my son when I was 18 and it was a 3 day labour with a second degree tare. I’ve never spoke of it as traumatic or an awful experience but when I look back at it, it was insane! It’s so important for parents to be and feel empowered to make the right choice not only for them and their safety but babies safety too. It’s so awful that we live in a world where people feel so entitled and in control of other peoples life. As if they know better than you and Josh, doctors and nurses and midwives and close family and friends. I started watching you guys when poppy was six months, it’s been so beautiful to watch you all grow and evolve.
I wish you a happy, quick, easy and incredible birth for your perfect teenie boy! I wish for a quick and healthy recovery and for you all to just enjoy and soak in all there is to enjoy and soak in with having two babies at once 🥰 all the love and light in the world 🤍🙏🏻🤍
  • You could have been telling my birth story with my first! She was breech, version did not work, I went into labor before my scheduled C-section! Thank you for talking about feeling comfortable with a second C-section. My second is due in April and she is breech, so I won't likely have the choice, but so many voices have made me feel like a VBAC is "right" when really it is just one way. Thank you for being a differing, bright and confident voice! The idea of a failed VBAC is also so scary to me!
  • My sister is a L&D nurse and she wanted to have C-Sections because she says healing is faster. However, when she went into labor- the doctor was the worst one of the group and she (nor the midwife) did NOT want him doing her c-section so the midwife and team kept trying to help my nephew come out. He was stuck. He finally cooperated - haha- and had a cone head. All that to say- make your own mind up about what is good for you and don't worry about the Karen's on here. You're so sweet and I wish you the BEST!!

Praying for a safe delivery. 🙏

Do what you have to & want to do mama!!
My son was born may 25th 2021 .. I watched your journey and felt so comfortable with whatever way I delivered ..we went in on a Sunday and my son wasn’t dropping.. didn’t have him until that Tuesday via C-section and I had more of a risk bc I’m a heavier woman & diabetic .. but I was down for it to bring my beautiful son Benny into this world & I’ll do c-section again with my next babe ❤❤
