🧑‍🍳Cooking tips:
❗Feel free to add your favourite herbs and spices to the recipe to get your favourite flavour.
❗ For the patties to hold together place patties mixture in to the fridge for 30-60 minutes. It works miracles and you do not need a binder 👍 If you feel like you need a diner add some flaxseed. 😊
❗With the ingredients listed in the recipe you get about 8 patties.
❗These veg patties can be used to make a delicious vegan burger

🥣 Method:
Add 100g | 1 cup cooked chickpeas to a large bowl.
Mash with fork.
Grate 100g zucchini.
Grate 100g carrot.
Finely chop 3 broccoli florets.
Add 100g cooked chickpeas.
Season with 1tsp onion powder, 1tsp paprika, 1tsp garlic powder.
Add 20g | 1/6 cup chickpea flour, 1tbsp corn starch, and salt to taste.
Combine well and transfer to the fridge for 20-60 minutes [it helps patties to hold together].
Peel and cut into pieces 1 medium-sized sweet potato.
Transfer to a steamer
Cut 1 carrot and transfer to a steamer.
Steam sweet potato and carrot for 20 minutes or until cooked.
Heat a little oil in a non stick skillet.
Take the mixture from the fridge and shape into patties.
Fry with the lid on for about 5 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
Flip to the other side, pour 50ml | 4tbsp water and cook with the lid on for about 15 minutes.
Transfer cooked sweet potato and carrot into a bowl.
Add 80ml | 1/3 dairy-free milk and 1tbsp nutritional yeast.
Season with salt and pepper.
Mash with potato masher or use a hand blender.
Serve chickpea patties with mashed sweet potato, sprinkle with fresh dill and red chilli flakes (optional).
Enjoy! 💕

Fabulous recipe for us vegans (yet another). I like this recipe as a main course (with lentils as well), but also for a ‘tapas’ party. Tapas are like small appetizers you serve late afternoon with a range of drinks (many people are not drinking alcohol these days). Tapas parties have become our preferred ways of entertaining - less work than a dinner party and people can better pick and choose what they want to eat based on their sensitivities/allergies and preferences. When we do a potluck tapas party, we do ask the dishes be vegan to ensure our home remains ‘animal friendly’. Our friends understand this, in fact they are becoming more plant-based themselves. We look forward to more yummy recipes for our tapas parties as well as others! Thank you. Also, your ‘non-verbal’ videos work really well - crosses languages barriers and includes everyone. I live in the UK too! I love vegetables and fruit and meat! But patties are definitely Jamaica! And many Brits know that. So we agree they are fritters 😂

Made these today, exactly as shown in the recipe. Very tasty. I will definitely be making them again. I appreciate your channel and the relaxing way you film. Thank you.

Fantastic Burgers. YES. Veggies and more veggies. GREAT. Thank you for sharing.
  • I also made them in my food processor which worked great, for anyone wanting to try that. I use the shredded attachment for the veggies, then added the chickpeas and it made some of it into a paste and left some chickpeas chunky which was perfect!
  • Bonjour, je viens de m'abonner, je ne connaissais pas votre chaîne, cette recette a l'air délicieuse 😋, je vais la faire, merci. 🙏🙏🙏
  • OMG this looks delicious glad there was no egg to bind it together. Yummy. 😋

Hi! I tried this recipe today. I think I'd squeeze out the zucchini or add more chickpea flour because the mixture was too wet and barely kept the patties in shape and firm. I love the ingredients for the puree 😍. I hope my family likes it. ❤️ From Juriquilla in Querétaro, 🇲🇽.

I just made them, together with the cauliflower dip. Exellent recipe! First veggie patties that didn't fall apart in my teflon pen. I used small food processor to grind lentils because they flew all over when I tried to do it using stick blender.
