Such a great aircraft..got to fly on a private DC3 as a youngster..me and 2 pilots.. I was maybe 10 years old. Never forget it.....

I flew the Super 3 in Canada for 5 years, a part based on Vancouver Island ( Sky freighters Ltd. as Chief Pilot 1996), the rest in the Arctic. Great a/c to fly. I loved it! Transnorthern has the one Super 3 I flew in Canada which was registered C-GGKG before its' export to Alaska. Hard to beat the sound of those large Wright engines! People in town use to love listening to our takeoffs with that deep thundering engine sound echoing through the valley.

When i was a kid, just before dirt was created, the skies were full of DC-3 planes. You knew them by the sound and size. Great old planes

Really cool to see a very old aircraft like this being flown. Gotta be honest though, it looks like a total pain in the ass to fly compared to modern airliners. But I'm sure it's a lot of fun to fly
