First class aviation cinematography. I was three months old on my first DC-3 flight, not that I remember, but my love affair with classic planes started then and continues to this day. Jet travel is convenient but a flight on an old bird is always a treat. Nothing beats the music of the radials.

I love the sound of this airplane. I live near an airport where one of these old timers are stationed. Every once in a while it flies by, and I really enjoy that.

Hi from Canada. I flew on a DC-3 back in the mid 70's with Trans North Turbo Air from Whitehorse to Inuvik above the Arctic Circle with stops at Dawson and Old Crow, great flight. Nice to see the Seabee at the start of the video. My Dad had 2 of them in the 50's and 60's.

That unmistakable sound. Reminds me of Summer. When I was a kid Provincetown Airways flew DC-3s from Boston Logan Airport to Cape Cod. They flew low over our beach...didn't even have to look up to know it was a DC-3. Awesome airplane. Great video. Thank you!

Stunning condition and flight control of that Douglas Commercial 3; a very reliable passenger and military aircraft. The woodsy trees and color scheme of the DC-3 were extra-sweet eye candy. Godspeed.

Still a useful workhorse after all those years… amazing!
  • My Dad & Brother's crewed left seat on scheduled routes in these. Flew a UAL DC-3 in the early 1960's. Loved how the class of water on my tray vibrated.

The DC 3, the Boeing 727 and the A10 are the most beautiful planes everrrrr !!!!!!
  • Joyous. Had the privilege of flying low level in 'Drag 'em oot' last summer. Will never forget it. Keep these excellent aircraft flying!!

At the age of 17 I experienced my last flight from Gemena to Kinshasa. 1200 km across the jungle of Congo. With a Douglas DC-3. It was magic. A nice farewell to an unforgettable time and youth. That was in the year 1980. They are calling the 747 "the queen of the skies." I think they got that wrong...

Beautiful plane and a graceful slow flyer. Love the sound of the engines.
