The minute we got our travel trailer for full-time RV living, I knew I would want to paint the interior walls and remove the window treatments that were factory installed. This week I walk you through how to prep and paint the interior of your RV including how to remove the blinds on the windows.

Step 1: Remove the window treatments (1:10)
Step 2: Fill holes (3:28)
Step 3: Clean the walls (5:10)
Step 4: Tape (7:26)
Step 5: Cut-in (9:17)
Step 6: Paint (9:29)
See between scenes and end scenes for additional notes and tips for best results.

"It's sandpaper. You know what it looks like. It's, it's sandpaper. If you don't know, google it." Lol. You have a new subscriber.

Just bought my first RV and I can't wait to cover that "classic" wallpaper. Thanks for sharing your remodel experience. It looks amazing!

We're picking up our 25 year old motorhome on Monday to prep it for full-time living in 3 weeks. This tutorial was super helpful... thanks!!
  • You are so adorable!! I've watched others and that's silicon caulking, paint will NOT stick to it! I've watched others that cut it out. GREAT JOB!!
  • Oh guuurrrllll…… that is gorgeous wallpaper compared to mine!!!
  • @madammim694
that is such a big job, you are doing great
  • It took me almost two weeks to paint my whole trailer! I also have a very busy life so no shame, girl! Looks great!!

I just bought a 1992 Tiffin motor home. This thing is 95 percent original. That's why I bought it. I could see it was taken care of. I've seen plenty of hacked coaches, don't want them.

Using gripper paint before painting can work wonders!
  • Thank you so much for the informative video. We just moved into our brand new RV and I can't wait to get rid of the "grandma's basement" look.

Thank you for doing this. It has been very helpful because I had no idea how to even begin.

Exclusive nooks and crannies 🤣🤣 best description ever. I'm painting my cabinets now and then will start on walls.

Perfect. We live in ours. I am walking backwards and will attempt to paint while we live in it. Will have to do a tint section at a time. Girl those valances are a pain in the behind.

Great Job on Video. After a week in Farragut State Park in Idaho. I realized how dark our Rockwood Mini Light was on interior.. Thanks for info

Those window coverings are not even bad compared to the ones in my trailer. Wish I could post a photo so everyone could share in the horror.

I don’t hate that wallpaper. Wish mine looked like that lol
  • Simply White was your mistake. During my college years, I painted 1800 apartments and houses and learned that better quality paint with at least a little pigment in it was vastly better than pure white. Just go one shade in ANY direction for an off-white and two coats are plenty.

I am beginning painting mine monday thanks so much new sub!
  • Looks great! I would live with the wood cabinets for a while. I think they look nice and a great contrast. The dark stain color is definitely current and not outdated like so many others that we see around that need painting for sure.

Great job. I wonder if there is a wallpaper Primer Four coats would take forever. We have a 2017 30:ft fifth wheel Camper with that same wall paper. It will be painted this summer. We probably will roll it on. Not sure. I know your rig will be awesome when you are finished. Blessings.
