I am so confused on why things are unsafe. Especially if they are non porous and can be cleaned. I understand food and fabric but can someone explain the like kid toys and such.

I'm so happy insurance is being so detailed and good to you through this. You are so resilient, and again, so happy you all were ok. Things can be repurchased, but family can't. I still chuckle at your kid being rushed outside but giggling that he got to be awake 😭 unfazed at it's finest

I was in two house fires at ages 9 and 14. It was a very close call in the second one for survival. I woke up first and got everyone out. It was already impossible to see through the smoke. We had to crawl on the floor. The doctor told us that we only had about 10 minutes left before flashover. It was the one and only time I was, (or want to be) a hero. P.S. I’m still terrified of fire after almost 60 years! I’m so happy you’re all safe. Stuff is just stuff. Everything important is safe. 💛
