Thank you for the update and great news that you will create specific content on Level1tech's Linux channel. Looking forward to that.

Thank you for all you do!

Thank you for all that you do for this community! This is awesome news!

Appreciate the detailed and transparent update, thank you. You and other contributors to the Looking Glass project have brought what once seemed like a pipedream to reality. Looking forward to seeing you continue to push the limits. Good luck and godspeed!

So … basically you got blackmailed by Microsoft to buy into code signing? “Nice application you have there! Would be a shame if our snake oil were to blacklist it as malware …” (talking about the issues pre driver implementation)

Good news that more HowTo vids are coming and the collaboration with Wendell! As to upcoming content, I think the following would be good candidates: A general approach to AM4-based B550 motherboard solutions (the sweet spot vs X570), where (at best), you have one each PCIe x16 / x4 slot or x8/x8/x4 on the premium boards. Also, the only AM4 CPU's with iGPU's are the "G" series (5600G), which leaves leaves the 5800/5900/5950 crowd having to use a second dGPU in the x4 slot. An additional complication is that most/all boards will not allow you to make the x4 GPU the primary display at POST/Boot time. I have not found a satisfactory approach to excluding/blacklisting one to favor the other and prevent early driver loading on stock kernels shipped with major distros. A piece on dGPU selection criteria regarding vendor mix/match for the primary/secondary GPU's is sorely needed (Nvidia/Nvidia, Nvidia/AMD, AMD/Nvidia, AMD/AMD). BTW - It's great that AMD have seen fit to have an iGPU in all (AM5) 7000-series CPU's but that does nothing for the huge installed base of AM4-based systems. Looking forward to anything you can do to help there. Thanks for listening. (I am available to do some level of testing to facilitate this effort. Let me know the best way to reach out if interested.)

Thank you for your continued effort!

Looking Glass is AMAZING! I tried doing VFIO virtualizing multiple OS's but I found there were just too many headaches involved and I decided in the end to build multiple pc's/mac and use a KVM switch. Much less headaches with that type of setup but also not cheap. :(

This is super cool! I've been following this project for a long time and figured it was mostly finished. Never in a million years would I've thought of making your own driver like this. You're an inspiration and a great programmer for sure.

Hi, my name is Corrgan and I approve this message.

I love the project - I could not maintain fast refresh due to slow CPU. Now to try again and then with upgrade!

I'm using VFIO for daily basis but as you said problem is with anti cheats, I like using Linux for everything beside gaming, because shader stutter, vulkan shader compilation taking ages and multiplayer games that I play just works better under Windows, but I don't want my system to have 20 anticheats installed running 24/7 slowing my PC down, I just fire up VM installed on second drive and just play but it's not that easy because ofc if you use VM you are a dirty cheater what want's to ruin everyone's game (not talking about it that using cheats native is just way easier). Now most of my multiplayer games doesn't work, Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, Fortnite, PUBG. And everytime I just wan't to sit and game with friends I can't because anti cheat.

Six months later, are there any new updates to share? Thanks.

Sounds like your audio gate is set a bit too tight.
