I went carnivorish about 2020 all went well for two years lost about 20 kilos. I started having difficulty swallowing I was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Had the camera down the throat without sedation awful experience. My diet was beef eggs and bacon extra thick cream cheese milk butter crème fresh fish and lots of coffee. I found the elimination diet that Paul mentions and thought OMG what do I do now. I ended up blending my steak to swallow it. I cut the dairy and fish by 70% cut the egg and bacon completely . I was really worried that was going to be life for me. I couldn't or wouldn't go out to eat anywhere because the feeling of choking was too embarrassing. About six months later for some reason I tried a piece of unblended steak and to my surprise my swallowing problem had gone completely. Now back on two eggs and bacon for breakfast and steak limited fish and dairy. Still not sure what caused it but so far so good. I never gave up the coffee.

I’m dealing with multiple food sensitivities. My FM doctor ran a blood test for food reactions, and told me I had the most reactions on the test that she had ever seen - including eggs, dairy, grains, and a high percentage of fruits and vegetables. The only category where I had no reactions was meat and fish.
  • I don't mind a bit of inflammation here and there. But i'm not going back to munching plants!

About eggs, I react not so good to the egg-whites, but I really love yolks, so I eat lots of them. Anybody else feeling the same? :face-blue-smiling:

I know two things I have no reaction to. Red meat and grass fed butter. Coffee, out. Eggs, out, dairy. Out. I’m living this and you are 100% spot on Dr Mason. BTW - I feel terrific. Thanks

Egg allergies are common for 2 reasons. The egg white is designed to protect the yolk and growing chick, so it contains proteins that may be inflammatory in some people, rarely the yolk. Eggs are also commonly used as the protein source in vaccines, and so will force your body to produce antibodies to them.

Again, a very short but very important video - thank you.
  • I’ve been carnivore for 2 years now I’ve lost all of my fat lost 42 pounds of fat actually. I’ve been eating dairy fish and eggs the whole time so do whatever works for you if you’re not losing weight or you’re still inflamed try cutting one of those foods out at a time and see what works for you 👍🏻

So some very nutrition-densed foods still might adversely affect us!
  • I trust Paul Mason with my life. My body only works properly on Lion Diet, so this makes sense.

I was getting a reaction from eggs, after starting the canivore diet I’m no longer affected. Most allergies are caused by stomach issues.
