China is not all what we expected and trust me, as a couple of Americans, we certainly had some reservations about trekking through the country without a real plan.

WE’RE JASON AND NIKKI WYNN. A couple of modern-day documentarians, perpetual travelers, and seekers of tall tales.

We’ve been chasing our curiosity around the world on wheels and keels since 2011. Why? Because curiosity is the key to unlocking life. It pushes us outside our comfort zone, softens our assumptions, and helps us embrace the great unknown. The more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us.

Our home is also our transportation and we spend weeks away from civilization and sometimes land. Self-reliance and living a sustainable lifestyle are a must. It's all about managing our resources and we’re always looking for new and better ways to do so.

We've lived off the grid for over 10 years now in everything from a Van to RV to a Sailboat. And over time we have learned a lot about renewable energy, creating safe drinking water, and managing our waste.

Our journey is ever-evolving but the mission remains the same: #CultivateCuriosity

I watched this video through tears. I am 68 years old and I want to be you when I grow up. For now, this old crippled body will live through your adventures. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us all. Bless you on your travels.

Yes, if you travel to China without any prejudice, you will naturally gain your own understanding of this ancient country.
  • @xmen2130
No wonder my friend has been travelling to China for almost 40 years, using his annual days off. He’s a photographer and a food lover and China has all these for him.

Thanks you for showing the positive side of China! From China, living in US, I am so proud to see the beautiful places, wonderful arts, modern infrastructures, and friendly people in your China videos. I have been following your Channel for a few years. It is such a surprise to me when I found those videos about China from you! Enjoy your time in China! - Gang Wang

This was awesome. I always believe as you travel and meet others it is harder to be angry and want to go to war. The Chinese people are beautiful thanks for showing the world. Their country is magnificent and more people should see it in person!

Five years ago, I was in China and fell ill. I walked 10 minutes to the pharmacy at 1 a.m. to buy medicine. Last summer, I went to China again and ate too much for dinner and supper. I felt uncomfortable in my stomach and needed to buy medicine again. But this time, I didn’t have to go out to buy it myself. I bought it through the Meituan APP. After I paid, it was delivered to the hotel 20 minutes later. The hotel robot delivered it to my room. It was really convenient and safe.

I don’t know why, but I was out of breath just watching, and I didn’t want it to end. Amazing country with some amazing storytelling. A truly awesome episode.

This video made my morning for many reasons. I’ve had the good fortune to visit scores of countries around the world including China, and firmly believe that while the architecture, landscape and food may differ, we are all one people with the same hopes, dreams, fears and struggles all living under the same big sky. Our differences are to be celebrated as they add colour to life, and our humanity is to be shared as it is our strength in times of grave distress. Your video popped up in my feed today and I’m grateful that you shared. As an Indian, I have nothing but respect and fondness for China; and it’s great to see two Americans enthusiastically make their way around the country. When we discard the lenses of geopolitics and prejudice, the world becomes much more accessible and enjoyable. Thank you for showing this and living it. YouTube tip amounts are peculiar because of the conversion but there’s an 8 for good luck! Best wishes from Dubai 🙌🏼

I’ve never been there, my wife did 20 years ago. She loved the place so much, she went back every year and bought a house there. She told me she wanted to live there when we retire. Unfortunately she passed away a few years ago, I sold the house and wonder if I ever want to visit there in my life time.

Went to China several years ago for a college trip and fell so much in love with the country and the culture. This video gives me dreams of going back one day. Thank you!
  • @oliverjeffs4936
I really appreciate these videos, China's always been quite far down on my list of places to visit simply because of what we see in the media. It's pretty close to the top now!
  • @nicoros2698
My nephew moved to Beijing and never regretted this step. Found a job, a wife and wishes to stay there forever.
  • @lexielin7319
As a Chinese person, this video has made me cry many times. It's a very touching travel vlog full of humanity. Thank you, you guys are really gentle and kind. I love my country, and I also love the China in your eyes. Thank you......!!!
  • @stewartbrann2980
In the military, I was fortunate enough to travel to almost 50 different countries. Your channel, and these China videos in particular, have confirmed my experience and belief that people are generally peaceful and friendly all over the world. Thanks for pointing this out everywhere you go.
