This is the longplay of the game Contra III: The Alien Wars, an action and platform game released for Super Nintendo in 1992. This game was released in Japan under the name Contra Spirits and in Europe as Probotector (where the human protagonists were replaced by robots). ).

The game takes place in the year 2636, two years after the events of Super Contra. The protagonists Bill Rizer and Lance Bean are called once again, against an alien invasion.

Contra has an 80s action movie feel, with a lot of explosions and gunfire. The characters use machine guns with different types of fire to destroy alien threats, as well as smartboms (which destroy all enemies on the screen). Shots have different formats, with different levels of power and range and each player can carry two types at a time.

Taking advantage of Super NES technology, in this game the graphics are improved compared to previous games, in addition to having an evolution in sound and gameplay. It is considered by many to be the best game in the Contra series. It can be played in single-player or a two-player cooperative mode.

This video was made in co-op mode, in hard mode and with the best ending. Hope you like it.

Player 1: xRavenXP (Bill Rizen)
Player 2: Henplay (Lance Beam)

This brings back the memories, and some tears! Me, and my stepfather, played this all the time together. He was an adult, but he was heavy into video games like me and my siblings. This Contra game helped us strengthened our bond. He’s gone now, but seeing this video of the game just makes me think about all those times when life was easier and a lot more happier…

10:12 - Everyone remembers how sweaty their palms got from here during this climb =P and the relief they felt as they got to the top. The music, sound effects, and especially the enemy encounter designs, all show how much thought the developers put into their game.

I brought this out of the closet after at least two decades and called my brother over. We played on hard and we're still able to finish it. It was like no time had passed. What was it about this generation of gaming that makes it so memorable verse what came later. There were a lot of great titles in the next gen counsels.

Konami and snes were a golden duo. I’ll remember playing this a lot with a friend of mine, it was the reason together with mario kart to play on the snes. We went to sega to play streets of rage 2. Great times!
