The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the

In 1974 at a youth club dance i met a 16yo girl, asked her to dance to "Stairway to Heaven" I was 17yo. We celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary this year. The lyrics hang on our lounge room wall still today. LOVE IT.

I saw Robert Plant walking down the Kings Road, Chelsea in the mid-80s. He was just ambling along, quietly singing to himself. No one knew who he was!! The best R&R singer ever, and yet managed to be pretty anonymous to the masses. I looked at him in disbelief that I was looking at him....and that I was the only person on the street who knew who he was. He smiled at me (he knew that I knew!)......I'll never forget that til the day I die.
  • I was in this concert in 1975. I had arrived in London in 1972 to study business. It was an incredible concert from which I clearly remember three things: Jimmy Page's magnificent solo guitar in Starway to Heaven, Robert Plant singing bare chest at maximum potency, and the strong weed smell throughout the concert. I was 24 at that time and what a wonderful experience this was: It will live on my mind forever.

In 1976, this was our wedding march music played by a great organist. My wife and I are still together today.
  • Here in 2024, 54 yrs old and still one of the very best songs ever performed. Legendary.

Saw them back to back nights in 1977. The tickets were $7.50! We thought that was a lot of $$ lol. The absolute best concerts of my life. When rock was king and people actually really played and had talent. God I miss those days
  • This band was a gift… the combination of skill, passion, intuition, discipline, coolness is something that we won’t see again in our lifetime.
  • This isn't a song, its a prayer. A plea to understand all the secrets and mysteries of life.

A man with a story to tell. Music played by actual people, no computers no AI. And you can tell. Its hits you in the hart. Music from the 60's 70's and 80's. Creativeness at its finest.
