Takeoff is probably one of the most dangerous phases of flight as it combines two undesirable states at once. The airplane is at the same time going too fast for the ground and too slow for the air. It's a very carefully planed maneuver which can easily go horribly wrong, that's why we practice many scenarios in the simulator twice a year.

    Great video! Do you guys do VNAV takeoffs often? Or its more common to only engage VNAV once above 3000ft?

    Evening sir! Is it possible to direct me in how you can place your eyesight properly in the 737 NG +.. cockpit? I am a sim pilot - not a real one - though I understand it makes a significant difference in handling the aircraft, especially upon landing, thanks in advance!!

    Just wondering i know you guys give the brakes a tap after you take off but if you didn't would you really notice the difference in the handling of the aircraft
