Luxury Fashion Is NOT The Same For Rich VS Poor!

I don't know if it's worth buying anything from Gucci, Channel or other similar brands. At that price, you can get something custom made that's of superior quality.

Accepting one’s own class and helping each other within said class is smarter than competing against each other and pretending to be rich.

Nothing about luxury is exclusive, all you need is money. They don't care if its inherited or credit card debt.

As a millennial, this whole luxury discussion has been evolving my entire life. When I was a kid, before fast fashion and "luxury branding" became a thing, nobody was buying luxury (Hermes, Chanel, Dior, Gucci etc) other than people who had a LOT of money. Perhaps they were old money or new money but they were actually rich. Not just upper middle class, but rich enough to live in "mansions" or go to exotic vacations twice a year. Now, I see young kids, not even teenagers, from lower income families talking about how they want to buy luxury. Social media have certainly played a part, but I also think that the fact that fast fashion made clothing completely "worthless" in many ways has definitely contributed to how luxury is regarded. No actual rich person would talk about "an investment bag" because they have actual investments that make them millions.

I’m glad you mentioned that the wealth have their clothes custom made…as a college student, I worked in a luxury fabric store and saw this firsthand.

My mother taught me that logos on your clothes are trashy. She was a middle class accountant. True class can not be bought.

No logos for me, quiet quality is my luxury. Real quality has no reason to be loud

I personally hate labels on items. I will not be a walking billboard. I think the brand name on items is tacky

Buying Louis Vuitton to show that you are not poor is ironic to the extreme as Louis Vuitton himself started his steamer trunk business as a homeless street urchin.

These fashion houses have to stop hating on the working class. If they want loyalty then they have to stop being condescending.

I think there's some confusion. Good quality should be the goal. Why would that be a ''Luxury"? Those who buy for status will never understand real quality and what to look for in an item.

Poor people who buy luxury keep them from accumulating real wealth. Agree totally. Logo clothing is low class to me. Quiet luxury is my mantra.

watching your video, i just remembered being a child, seeing a t-shirt, saying "i want that", turning to see the the back, a giant logo there, and me going "ew!" a lifetime of quiet luxury ahahahahah

As a fashion lover, yes luxury fashion is for all people. You cannot afford it, buy the vintage or preloved one. Not fakes. But ngl sometimes fakes looks so real that it is easier to buy fake

Luxury is something you want and don't need. It should be something you want yourself, not something you buy to keep up with others. It should be something that has a personal meaning to you.

Wealth is quiet, rich is loud. Just as class isn’t demanding, entitlement…well we know😉

Logos are for nouveau riche and quiet luxury is for old money(generational wealth). At least that’s the impression I get. People born into wealth just don’t think about trying to appear wealthy. They don’t need to prove anything cuz they’ve known they’re wealthy their whole lives. People who grew up poor or middle class like to show their labels and logos to look rich cuz deep down they still feel poor or middle class.
