This is an initial look at LG's new QNED TV just released in the U.S. This is the 75" model. I've had it for a few weeks now. I apologize in advance as this is filmed in FHD not UHD, so it won't show as UHD. I will be posting a few additional clips and will record at UHD. I only have a phone for recording equipment, and this phone was new to me, and I was stupid enough not to look at the settings and realize I could have shot at 4K to at least showcase the picture quality a little better.

Here is some clips shot at 4K to correct my oversight to give you a better look at the picture quality:

I am not a professional (duh), nor do I have a good setup like other more seasoned reviewers. Please be kind, I tried. I'm not even good at unboxing videos. 😂

I did receive this TV at a discount for my review. The written review is below in the comments. It's short because I was limited to 2,500 characters for the review. As mentioned at the end of this video, please do not hesitate to ask me any questions or to look at some more details of the TV for you.

Here is the review I posted, limited by number of characters: I received this LG TV at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I am stepping up from a 60” LED TV, therefore I can say the LG is huge in comparison. The focus of my review is from movies and YouTube, the two things I’ll be doing most with the TV. I have gaming reserved for a lesser TV in the basement. I was able to unpack and setup the TV myself except for placing it on the stand for which I needed assistance. I suggest unpacking with at least 2 people to mitigate risk of damage. The included Magic Remote is a nice touch. It includes voice control and an air mouse for TV navigation. Here are the parameters for my testing. I watched two movies, (movie #1) Captain Marvel (Disney+ app) and (movie #2) The Tomorrow War (Prime Video app). I also streamed various YouTube items. It has one of the better TV speakers I have heard, if not the best, but I use external audio. I am not analyzing the specs as compared to other products on the market. This is strictly about this TV in my home and how I rate it. For my use, the TV has one function, and that is to provide a clear enjoyable watching experience. My setup has me sitting about 10 feet from the TV. This layout plus the TV’s size was the first in-home almost movie experience (screen size) I’ve ever owned. I cannot stare at one spot on this TV and just move my eyes as I’ve done up until now. I need to work the neck/eye muscles to glance left/right. I watched some sports, the news, and a few TV shows on Fios One. I was looking for pixilation but didn’t notice any. The motion was smooth, and the colors for an LED were excellent. Then I spent two evenings doing the thing I do most, and that is watch movies. I watched movie #1, a movie I have seen countless times on various TV’s. Compared to all previous views, it was breathtaking. The clarity down to the detail was amazing. I saw things I had not seen before. There was no delay or blips. The entire movie was smooth to the eyes. Then I watched movie #2 for the first time. I focused in on the blacks which I did not do previously in addition to the color and motion. They were, well, black. I saw no light bleeds anywhere, and those blacks jumped out. There was one instance where there appeared to be shadowing on the four corners. Only once, so not sure if source or not. This came bundled with the LG SP9YA Soundbar. Connecting it to the TV was simple through HDMI Arc, and I was good to go with a perfect match. This is an awesome and beautiful LCD TV
  • Hey man thanks for the video appreciate you taking some time to put this out early
  • I got this Exact 8K QNED 65" Yesterday! I am Blown Away! This TV is Fantasmic and so Emersive! I am in Love, LOL. Glorious! I had and Returned the Samsung QN90A MineLed TV. LG is Genious!
  • Hey man thanks for taking the time. That picture looks gorgeous! And the blacks look great. Uniformity looked good to me and I'm not even sure I noticed any dimming/vignetting in the four corners. Right now this is the TV I have my eyes on to replace my old Sony LCD.

This TV continues to impress. I recently got a 65"LG B1 OLED, and the QNED is simply more vibrant. 4K content is striking. Watching the ALCS in 4K has been awesome.
  • Look great. Excellent colours and black level. A Best Buy:)

Nice review my friend. I'm looking to upgrade my TV either because I'm using 1080P TV from 8 years ago lol. QNED looks really great I think maybe this thing can be a rival to some OLED maybe? BTW I'm looking for A80J because QNED are still not available in my country and still no sign... 😥

Heeeeey! Glad I finally got to see your review! Not bad, bud! The only suggestion I have is do NOT zoom in with your phone, film in 4k at it's normal width. When you zoom in the resolution gets real bad. The TV looks AWESOME 😎 very promising!!! I didn't notice any dark corners, so no worries, probably just FiOS. The rest looked great and wow colors popped! My only question that I can't tell about is shadow detail and how a dark scene like in Game of Thrones might look, the night battle etc... That will really put it to the test. Happy for you man, thanks for sharing
  • Nice thank u… it’s a toss up tween the c1 or qned99 for me… what did u pay if u don’t mind me asking lol??? Thanks
  • Is there any blooming in dark scenes and/or text? Great video btw!
  • It’s been a while but have you noticed any of the backlight fluctuations that Caleb talked about in his review with subtitles?
  • Thanks for sharing, sadly it looks like another DSE for the LQ Qned, 9:00 looks pretty bad. the only other review online has the same issue.

I was on vacation. I'm going to go through the comments and see if I can respond to some of the questions I have not already addressed.
  • What about dirty screen effect and viewing angles?
