  • Can you homers calm down with the "the oilers out played them but, but, but". Dude, if the oilers did enough the would have won, they didnt, flordia earned the win, stop saying they got lucky
  • @GreekboyyD
Nice. Now we can put an end to the excessive McDavid and Oilers glazing by these Canadian media outlets.
  • If anyone wants to debate Connor McDavid going out to receive the Conn Smythe, Wayne Gretzky said everything anyone needs to know. Last year, he talks about the 1987 Finals. He simply stated the Oilers didn’t know who was awarded the Conn Smythe nor did they care. The Finals are all about the Stanley Cup.
  • Love seeing the egos come back to earth. The better team won
  • @edobkin
Welcome to the CopeCast! The ONLY reason this was even a SERIES is that the Panthers faultered games 4-6. Had those Panthers who showed up in games 1-3 showed up in 4,5, or 6, they would have closed it out then. They had to learn how to contain their emotions and just play their game.
  • Watching the finals was like watching the last season of a TV series you adored. It was so good.
  • Weirdly, the image of McDavid sitting on the bench with rats flying around is good for hockey. It starts a great storyline for him. If he wins in the future, people will come back to that image and remember it as a character building moment. And the rats are fun, silly but fun. Take these things lightly.
  • Stupidest tradition is throwing rubber rats on the ice? At least we have a tradition bud lmfao 🤣 apart from being a team that brought awareness to an endangered species in the Brown Panther 🐆 and bringing that beautiful native cat up to over 200 in the wild FROM less than 30… our team is also know for its story on the “The Year of the Rats”. At least we have a tradition!! 😅
  • Bourne said, "Edmonton was the better team last night." ???? What? Delusion as set into the minds of the Canadian sports media! I'm out. Losers!
  • What’s being said by these 3 is the exact reason why Canadian teams haven’t won the cup. Edmonton indeed did play better, but they played better only based on a play style expected by Canadian media and fans. This is true for Leafs as well. I hear over and over again how the fans of these teams constantly saying their team played better. Because the fans and Canadian media don’t understand that these flashy, finesse, top heavy, high scoring, styles don’t work anymore. So yes, Canadian teams do indeed play better in their flashy uptempo style, but it doesn’t matter. Do you think Florida cares about common stats like goals and assists? They don’t, nor do the Vegas books. This is why Vegas had no problem putting the odds against Edmonton even if everyone else thinks they “played better”. Because their style doesn’t win championships. Hockey has changed, and media and fans need to see it from it different perspective. You can cry about how your team played better, but being better in that style does not win championships.
  • @BigH0mie89
I love that Connor chose to stay with his teammates. I respect him a whole lot more for that!
  • Bourne saying Edmonton was the BETTER TEAM last night?!?!? What fckin planet are we on here???? That's gotta be the worst of the worst from Bourne I just about spit out my coffee hearing that
  • @Julio-v1c
So let's be clear that Connor didn't score for five of seven games in the final, including nothing in games 6 and 7, and was awarded MVP. That says more about the clueless Canadian media than anything else. If they knew how winning is done, they would be in coaching/management.
  • "so if i can have one thing more, it be for the Winnipeg Jets to win the next Stanley Cup"- Paul Maurice.
  • Winning anything in life is very hard. Winning a Stanley Cup is incredibly difficult. Winning a Cup the year after you lost in a final is insanity.
  • @omanni
Bourne saying that the better team lost. You need 4 wins to win the finals. And Florida did that 👍
  • Wait till we see 2 Canadian teams playing in the stanley cup. Then these homers gonna complain us Americans arent watching 😂😢
  • AND you gotta respect Maurice man - what a Legend !! If only all coaches could take a page outta his book
