Prepare to be transported to a world of electrifying music and mind-blowing theatrics! When Static-X first unveiled their lineup pre-pandemic, fans were on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the reveal of the mysterious Xer0. Speculation ran rampant about the identity of the masked musician, with whispers circulating that it could be none other than the legendary Edsel Dope himself. And while Xer0's true identity remains shrouded in secrecy, there are undeniable similarities between this enigmatic figure and Dope, including a strikingly similar neck tattoo.

But who cares about the man behind the mask when the music is this electrifying? With Xer0 as their platform, Static-X brings their signature brand of evil disco to a whole new generation. The new look for Xer0 is absolutely mind-blowing, with glowing red eyes, cable-like hair reminiscent of Wayne's iconic look, and robot-esque arms and hands that will leave you breathless.

And the music? Pure adrenaline-fueled awesomeness! From the opening four-song run of hits from their 2001 album Machine to the explosive energy of their debut album Wisconsin Death Trip, every moment is a testament to the band's incredible talent and boundless creativity. They even threw in a Nine Inch Nails cover just to keep things fresh and exciting.

But the true highlight of the night was the encore, a breathtaking tribute to the late, great Wayne that left the audience in tears. Snow descended on the crowd as the band played some of their most beloved hits, including "Cold," "I'm With Stupid," and "Push It." And when the band's mascot, a robot with a giant "X" on its head, took the stage, the crowd went wild. With its menacing shovel and electric stage presence, this nameless character was the perfect embodiment of everything that makes Static-X so unforgettable.

  • Xero’s mask, with the illuminated eyes, looks incredible and high budget. How Edsel sings and stays hydrated in that is impressive
  • Too many people are focused on trying to prove that Edsel is Xer0 when he's pretty much admitted it, but also pointed out the importance of the character of Xer0 - We want to celebrate Wayne's legacy and not worry about who wears the mask. If Edsel needs to step down, that's not as important as Wayne's words and guitar being shared with the world by whoever has the talent and skill to do so in a way that stands up to the legend.
  • Glad to see these guys keeping the music alive ..Wayne would love this ...Edsel does a hell of a job ...vocals are spot on
  • No one is mentioning etsel's ability to nail waynes part... after playing with Dope every night. Hard enough doing one set... but two. Damn. Huge props to the guy.
  • Watching this brought tears to my eyes. I will always be a die hard static fan and watching them live on is absolutely amazing. Love you forever wayne!!

The fact that Xeros existence is to pay homage to the late great Wayne Static is all I need to enjoy Wayne's music after he is gone. So glad they didn't run out and attempt to replace Wayne with a new face and move the band in a different direction or attempt to replicate statics sound. Much respect to the Static team. R.I.P. Because of this video, I bought tickets to the Static-X/Sevendust show. Thank you! :hand-orange-covering-eyes:
  • Thank you so much for recording this, I got the chills during black and white chorus with the audience.
  • Incredible.. I had the priviledge to see Static-X with Wayne.. and to see this is just... wow!!, brings back so many great memories... glad they are still performing !! Rest in power Wayne!
  • An old Fan of StaticX. I truly miss Wayne and when he passed I thought it was the end of this style of music. It's been a couple years now and Zero as a singer I never thought would fill the shoe's of Wayne. I love Wayne and I am finding a whole new level of Respect for Zero and the band as whole. I thought for sure they were done for. I was lucky to have met Wayne back in the day at believe it or not a "Convention" just around when he started hanging out with Tera. I was devasted. I never thought Zero would measure up, I did not want him to... I am happy to be wrong. Zero is incredible and the guys of StaticX your determination is unrivaled. Not since Metallica has a band been so determined! Thank you StaticX! You guys are amazing!

This is the best way to honor THE best late lead, Wayne Static 😢❤ brought me to tears
  • i was a teenager during 90s-00s and listened to static-x quite a lot back then. but i only recently came to realize the beauty of their art as a 40+ person. still love it! still listen to it when people think i'm doing smt important in the office. I always have this stupid idea to be buried with an mp3 player with my all time favorite music which is supposed to play until my flesh is completely consumed by bugs. Cold and Just in Case are definitely in that list.
  • @Tuskanr
Love that his legacy is living on. Sometimes I get so mad that he let the substances win. He will always be missed by thousands.
  • @SwtWsbi
Amazing show. A great tribute to Wayne. And a gift for Static X fans ❤
  • Xero has gotten down Waynes style pretty good. Sounds great!
  • @GhostSoul-777
this concert is the best I've ever seen, it's immediately clear from the vocalist's voice that he sang with his soul ❤❤❤
  • First time I saw them was ozzfest 99 in Dallas and then in Corpus Christi in 01. Both shows were life altering, I’m so happy to see it keep moving. RIP Wayne Static.
