Got these for my birthday as a present. Testing these badboys on a simple microset from Sony.

I have those cans, they're especially good at mid and higher frequencies and can handle classical music really well.

Any idea of what the list price was for these speakers?

I'd get a better amplifer than that. You'll not be able to get anywhere near the best these speakers can offer with that tiny thing.
