Sir you are a genius, I played the campaign game about 4 times, quickly losing money, men, then interest, watched numerous videos which really apart from the battles never really informed as how the financial mechanics worked. I feel now I can return to the game and enjoy it. The devs should be looking at this video and be asking you to be the official game guide. Again thanks for the excellent informative video, you have helped myself and no doubt many others to enjoying the game. Cheers

You seem to be the only person on the internet right now that fully understand this game right now. Coming from total war I’ve been baffled by the amount of micromanagement I didn’t know how to produce muskets.

Devs should let you do the tutorial that the game sorely needs. I’m coming from civil war and age of sail. I’m so lost

Спасибо за советы! Это как раз то что я искал

Bloody hell! I have subscribed! I have seen some good videos, but yours was definitely the most comprehensive, insightful and informative video I have ever seen! A real quality video. Thank you.

Thanks! My main issue is deffo having officers to fill out my regiments
  • You can give rum and cigars to increase loyalty quickly. Click on the territory, not on the settlement. And to get sight on garrison numbers, invest 3 slots in intelligence. It will also counter insurgency efforts from the enemy, so they're less likely to take over your settlements which are low in loyalty, yet above 40% and ungarissoned.
  • I like the idea of why you would want a lot of carpenters shops but from my experience i don't ever require a lot of building materials and normally have enough to sell some

Great tips! This is the type of video I've been waiting for. It explained a lot of things I didn't know or understand about the game. On a side note, has anybody won the campaign yet?

Thanks MUCH for all the GREAT info in this video..!! i am having trouble figuring out how best to move the units, both in the area map and in the battle map. i can move single units mostly like i want them to move, but moving multiple units doesn't work very good for me. How do you get into MELEE? i have had 3 or 4 units on top of a British unit, but they never seem to Melee, and even have a couple of my units Rout, despite a 3-1 advantage. Can you make a video of how to click and move the units, both in the area map, and the battle map? Please...? What is double-clicked? etc? With the minimal "help" lessons in this game, it'd be REALLY helpful to know for sure how to best move the units on both maps. Again, thanks for this great info in your video..! And i'm looking forward to a "real" if "unofficial" Help Lesson.... Thanks for your help..!! Dennis Loop

Some very useful tips; I have been looking for tips on the economy as I am always short of provisions and cash. Cheers! One question though, I already knew how to sell ships but how they hell did you capture a 3rd rate ship of the line with a couple of unrated sloops and brigs?

Continental Navy is definitely key at stopping British reinforcements from overseas. Not to mention trade benefits. Would be nice if your navy could help bombard forts from the coast.
  • Well, you can take Boston early, but will still need to account for the then following invasions, which can land anywhere between Providence and Ft George...

can i promote the officer too (like in the erlier games)??? and how to do it? i can promote my unit but also my leading officers?
  • @KG-1
Dont have game yet, but the points here seem sounder and more considered than a lot of other guides. Better show case of game details also. Im struck by the comparison to be made on the forts and WW2 Pacific islands or Norway later in the war. Make the enemy hold them and tie down troops. Taking other stuff thats more valuable. Really looking forward to playing this.
  • Great video...Question, after a battle, is there anything we can do to increase the speed of the troops??? It seems the withdrawing forces run and we can't catch them, unless I'm doing something wrong...they can also literally run past other untis...
